Ron Artest was telling the truth
In Artest's post-game, he talked about playing in a pick up basketball game where a player died from a fatal stab in heart. The weapon was a broken off table leg. Now I thought this was Crazy Pills using his deadpan humor to dismiss the rough play in game 2, but it actually turned out to be true.
A 19-year-old basketball player from Queens was fatally stabbed with a broken-off table leg today after a fight broke out during a basketball tournament, the police said.
The player, Lloyd Newton, was stabbed in the back with a leg from the scorer's table at the championship game of a Y.M.C.A.-sponsored tournament at the Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club, the police in Niagara Falls said.
"An argument ensued about the score," Capt. Louis Curcione said, adding that one of the teams "thought they were getting gypped."
"A fight broke out between the players and about 40 fans in the stands," he said. "In the course of the fight, one person was stabbed in the back."

Maybe Ron read about this and then dreamt he was there.
Still it doesn’t really make sense to bring this up in an interview after an NBA game… unless you are Crazy Pills I guess.

Well he went in a round about way but he was basically saying that he has played in very physical/crazy games.

I respect Ron Artest
He is not a dirty player in my book and I think he gets a bad rap.
"The brownies,'' Fernandez said after the game. "The brownies are good for me to make three-points.''

i agree.
the Malice at the Palace completely ruined his reputation. And maybe rightly so. But let’s not forget that he was provoked in an action that could be considered assault……with an intoxicating weapon.
