Jrue Holiday (SG/PG) workout video with the Kings. Currently predicted by most mock drafts to go just outside of the lottery, with NBADraft.net even having him falling to us at 24. I'm not completely convinced of his jumper and athleticism in this workout, but he is showing some nice signs and is still very young turning 19 in June. Via Sactown Royalty

He seems like a pretty good defender.
I would like to see more.

He looks OK on defense.
From the video he looks like he doesn’t put enough pressure on the ball, switches a little too much, and drifts away from his man.
Doesn’t look too impressive to me.
I meant as a whole.
Not just from this video. I’ve watched him a little in college and he seems like a pretty good defender.

judging defense, or anything, from a pre-draft workout isn’t a good idea. It’s how Joe Alexander gets drafted.

But you are comparing
stellar pre-draft workout to mediocre (at best) pre-draft workout. You, at least, try in to prove you have defensive capabilities in your pre-draft camps… unless you are purposely trying to disprove your worth to a franchise.
but how do you judge defensive ability based on a couple of hours in a workout? I’m sure that the scouts will take the year of film from UCLA, and the excellent defense he played there, over the workout when looking at defense.
Pritchard has said that workouts are simply a way to meet the kid and see what his mental makeup is.

His shooting isn't that bad.
He has good form. He gets square, doesn’t twist on his jump, holds the extension, the extension looks good. The only thing is he drifts a few inches forward on the jump. It can definitely be improved through repitition, and as a 18 year old he has plenty of time.

Draft workouts seem like they would be pretty boring to watch.
Imagine having to sit through that for a couple hours, multiple times.
It would probably be better if it was someone REALLY awesome.
