5/21 Junk Drawer Confessions

I have to confess. When I first joined BEdge I never looked at the junk drawer, well maybe I stuck in a big toe on about the 10th visit. I came here for basketball, so why do I want to talk about junk. Then a basketball epiphany with the magnitude of a clock shaking Oden dunk hit me…The Junk Drawer IS basketball. No, basketball is not the main course, that’s the other posts; basketball is the spice in this drawer. It’s the basil in the zucchini, oregano in the spaghetti, the cilantro in the salsa………….

One track minds who live and breathe Blazers come here to talk about anything and everything, with an argument (friendly discussion) ready to break out over whether Rudy should play side by side with Roy, but not the intent of the post.

I guess it’s like the stock market newbie who believes he’s going to make a million bucks, but thinks reading books about market psychology is a total waste of time, (what’s psychology got to do with commodity prices?) regardless of the fact that he is a psychological being and the market is “psychology on steroids”.

What, you don’t think that’s an apt analogy, How do we really get to know our BEdge friends if it’s not in the junk drawer?

But I came here to confess. I confess that I never rec’d anything for a long time. It scared me to think that somewhere out in the ether of the internet, numbers would change by pushing that button, that whole Butterfly Effect phobia thing.

On the other hand I also confess that I flagged like a mad rabbit (read that again, it says flagged not ………). Nothing would happen when I hit that button, it felt so comforting that I just kept doing it. I apologize to all the guys/girls who got banned for my incessant flagging.

I’ve tried to back read a few posts since I haven’t had much time for reading lately. Tominrehab, I think TotallySoberAndDrugFreeOffandOn is a good name. And thanks you guys for finally clearing up Tih does not = Tir.

No, I’m not a junk drawer junkie, but the junk drawer has grown on me immensely. So what are you…..are you a junk drawer junkie, or do you hardly ever visit?
