Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Unfortunately this makes too much sense, because we wouldn't get our coveted point guard in this scenario and the Grizzlies get their PF. We can only hope Dunleavy and Wallace go by best player available and create a depth chart that requires more deals.

We land Darren Collison in this version, which wouldn't be bad as a replacement for Sergio but not the big price. Edit: Or Nick Calathes. Apparently Scott wasn't sure about our needs :)

I hope the OKC Grave Robbers draft Hasheem Thabeet

Just so I can watch Oden break him over his knee (the good knee).

Looks to me that RU has us picking

Nick Calathes from Florida, despite the chart saying we’re taking Collison.

Who would you rather have between the two?

I would say Collison personally. Calathes is either the next poor-man’s Steve Blake (whom you guys love, I think) or Kirk Heinirch.

I would take Collison, one of the few guys I could instantly see as a backup PG on a number of teams

Reminds me of Darrell Armstrong whom I liked as a Mav and before (now a good assistant coach). I saw Calathes play for the Greek junior national team (he has dual citizenship), and he sucked against same-age Euros. I don’t know what exactly he can become, but for now he looks like a PG/SG/SF tweener – and not of the “I’m LeBron and can do everything” kind.
