I see in Rubio....
Great passing, quick but soft drives to the hoop, overcommitting on defense
What do you see?

Crafty player......
Although his not an elite athlete, he seems to have the skill and IQ to eventually become a decent scoring threat in the NBA. Pair that with amazing passing skills which will further improve as he matures, and he’s scrappy defense (I see as Rondo type defender, a guy that is pesky, won’t ever be a lock down type. But who really is at pg……nobody. Guys are just too quick these days.) Which will make him a solid starting pg in a few years.
I’d like to see him go to Sacramento, seems like a good fit. Chance to play big back-up minutes behind an underwhelming Beno Udrih and eventually start as early as year 2 or maybe even the end of the year next year.

His passing is amazing, he is both quick and fast, has a high b-ball IQ, and I think he will be an NBA phenom.
The few deficiencies he has in his game can be fixed by good NBA coaching. Whatever team ends up with him is going to have a star PG for sure.

He takes way too many steps when penetrating
I guess I used to seeing NBA guys go from the 3 line to the hoop with one dribble, but it just seems like when he did that coast to coast layup he needed 5 steps to get from the 3pt line to the hoop (accounting for traffic in the lane, of course). The other thing that surprises me is just how unathletic he appears to be. I don’t know if he can play good on ball defense against NBA 1’s, and it will be especially interesting to see how he defends the pick and roll in the NBA when he’s getting screened off by generally bigger, stronger and faster post players than he has seen in the ACB.

Roy has pretty much upped the ante with his comments about playing for championships starting next season. Rubio may be an absolute stud in the nba but Portland cannot wait 2-3 years for him to develop. Theres alot of talk he is just not ready yet.
I only bring this up because there is talk Rubio could very well fall into the low teens to early 20’s in the draft.
I try to help with everything," Fernandez said. "If the coach says go rebound, I go rebound. I work for the team.
""If I'm playing this game to get media and attention, I shouldn't be here," Aldridge said. "I'm here to play basketball, and do what I can do to help this team win."
His stare became blank. It was apparent he was back in that place, on the Rose Garden's logo, picking up Aaron Brooks as the crowd nervously roared.

if that's the case
(and I guess it may happen) he won’t be comming to the nba this season, he needs to get as low as 3rd pick to be able to pay his buyout.
