A '96 Caprice?
You know it was rollin with 22s….every cop he drives by is gonna look hard at that car. You would think he would at least be driving with a valid license. Stupid….it’s kinda like speeding down I-5 in a glowing yellow Hummer and not thinking that the cops are gonna look at you….
How much money do you need to keep a valid license? Or let someone else drive? I am amazed at these kabillionaires who get DUIs and other stupid moving violations. For chrissakes, hire a driver.
I like the whole team.

Doesn’t it say a 96 Impala? Still crap.
I had a beautiful ‘64 during HS and College. The new Imp’s don’t even come close.

Probably not.

No
The CBA says that the league can dismiss a player (which would remove his salary off the books) for any conviction regarding an illegal substance – any illegal substance except for marijuana, that is.
If it were heroin or meth or ??, then it might be a possibility. But not marijuana.

He was done in Memphis anyway
They are holding D-League tryouts to find good yet cheap defensive wing players for next season. It would be very doubtful that they would have re-signed him for next season, he can still play but his athleticism that made him valuable is clearly gone. It was a cap screw job after all.

I doubt it...
when your posse is that big it costs a lot of money to keep it rolling. You got at least a 1/4 pound of weed a week for the hommies, a dozen or so bottles of Hennessey, a couple Royles Royce’s, hookers, strippers… and on and on. Being a wannabe-gangster is neither cheap nor easy.

That's just dumb
I partook (is that really a word?) of that stuff more than my fair share back in the day and came to the conclusion that it just makes you stupid. Research since then has backed up my gut feeling. It messes with the production of certain neurotransmitters and, if smoked enough, permanently alters the structures that produce those neurotransmitters. Not convinced it should be illegal, but it just ain’t smart to use.

Although the Griz haven’t publicly stated their intentions, their plan was always to start next season without Miles.
I’m trying to remember which of the Grizz writers/blogs were most self righteous last winter. The ones who said Miles was a great locker room prescence and brought veteran leadership to a young team.

Can we start talking about Miles as an all-time great?
In terms of draft day bust. I mean his numbers are worse than Bowie’s and he was a number 3 pick. Although pretty much everyone was a bust in that draft year. I was thinking about making a draft-bust fanpost complete with a poll. Is this a good idea or just more spam in the side bar?

No, Bob McAdoo was great
though he was allegedly a handful to coach. But he had settled down by the time he came to L.A. in the days of Magic & Kareem. McAdoo was 6th man off the bench, instant offense at 4 or 5, unguardable.

From the Memphis article cited above...
Miles is an unrestricted free agent. He played in 34 games for the Griz this season. Although the Griz haven’t publicly stated their intentions, their plan was always to start next season without Miles.
The Griz grew weary of Miles’ waning work ethic and his relationship with rookie guard O.J. Mayo.
There was widespread concern in the organization about Miles’ off-the-court influence on Mayo near the end of the season.

neither one of these offenses
really strike me as “immoral.” Yes, he should not drive without a valid license, but really, this is the moral equivalent of a late credit card payment at worst.
And the pot… don’t get me started. I don’t think it’s the most wise choice for someone who is a free agent trying to sell a team on his physical abilities. Not when he can potentially make millions by staying in tip top shape. Marijuana will impair you mentally (you’re less sharp) and probably physically (if you’re smoking.)
But it’s not immoral. It’s no worse than having a beer or three.
So really, he may be a favorite target, but c’mon. This is not an issue for me.
