I have seen the future....
The future Blazer point guard, that is. This is who I would like to see the Blazers tareget in the draft.

I'm fully on the Brandon Jennings Bandwagon
although it’s looking like he’s having a Westbrook like ascent up draft boards into a top 5 pick, so it might be pretty tough to get him in here.

Not sure.
If we need another project right now. It sounds like he has the potential to be a solid player in the league and I really like the fact that he is a pass first player. However, if he is turning the ball over 23% of his possessions in the Euro league what would he do in the NBA. We already have a project in Bayless and he appears to be more NBA ready.
Maybe I am wrong. This article, and maybe one or two more are the extent to which I have looked into this kid. Whatever we do at the point I feel it should be an upgrade right now, not in the future.

He looked awful playing against experienced players in Europe
I suppose he has rather hurt his stock not driving around college players like they were slalom poles. He might work out, but it takes time. For what it’s worth, see Jerryd’s NBA readiness rating and his. But would be interesting to see those two battle it out – if they get playing time. I would trust neither to lead this team in the playoffs at the moment.

They also rated Westbrook a 6
and Joe Alexander an 8. Galinari and Beasley were also rated 9s, ahead of Rose, Lopez, Gordon, Love, et al. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for their rankings.

DraftExpress also makes some comments that while he has improved he still has a way to go

I wouldn't expect him to come in and be able to start right away
but based on what I’ve read I’d trust him about as much as I’d trust Bayless to fill the back up role consistently next year (which would be slightly less than Sergio).

That must be
because of the odds of bayless filling the starter role.
Come on MIP. (most improved)

I would not trust them to lead the Blazers into the playoffs yet either...
but I love the huge increase in maturity he’s shown over the course of a year. His playmaking instincts appear to be top flight.
And I guess that’s the issue I have with Bayless. I don’t see the instincts of a playmaker.
I really don’t expect Jennings to become a Blazer, but I bet that by his second year on the league, he will be absolutely torching opposing teams.

He has been mediocre in europe.
Offseason:
Trade For Mike Conley Jr
Sign Antonio McDyess & Othello Hunter
Draft Kevin Seraphin/Edwin Jackson(Eurostash)

Sabonis was not from Europe
Nor from Earth for that matter.

He wouldn't get playing time
His biggest weaknesses are turnovers and 3 pt. shooting. Nate would have him riding the bench after each stupid turnover, and he couldn’t play with the starters since the point guard spreads the floor in Nates offense.

I'm no authority on KP's psychological thinking, but something tells me that doesn't help Jennings

And he seems so proud of it he made it his Twitter profile image @BJennings3
