P.S. I'm glad our superstar doesn't whine through the media instead of having a meeting with his coach

I’m also glad we can give our superstar the ball in the last five minutes of a close game because he can do things other than clank and/or get fouled and miss FT.

Howards rant

I thought the line, "We have a dominate big man, let him be dominate: summed it up nicely.

Howard is far from dominate in the post. He’s a garbage man who needs others to set him up, similar to Oden.

Agreed...

As I recalled Howard called himself a “dominant offensive player” that was worth a chuckle. Last time I checked dominant offensive players can beat Perkins.

In Howard's defense

the guy pulls down 20+ points on a regular basis as a “garbage man”. He is a dominant big in spite of his back to the basket shortcomings, and although he may be barking up the wrong tree going after SVG, there is a fundamental problem with the Magic: they have nobody who they can rely on in pressure situations on the perimeter. Rafer Alston is a dud, and that team really got hurt by losing Jameer Nelson. This isn’t a style problem, it is a matter of personnel. The Magic will lose this series or the next one probably for sure, but I really wouldn’t blame anyone on the team for losing to the Cavs or the Celtics, they just don’t match up well with either team.

I was never a huge fan...

Gortat or G13 as I like to call him is way sicker… at least he has a move or two with his back to the basket. Also why does everyone want Ewing as a big man coach… it seems almost like D12 is regressing since they got rid of their last big guy coach.

What's a Gortat?

you crazy kids and your internets slang..

I like the whole team.

I agree

I lost a lot of respect for him with his elbow throwing and general poor sportsmanship this playoff season.

Much like Rondo

except, I didn’t like D12 much prior to this incident and I freaking loved Rondo. Both have dropped considerably in my esteem.

And Howard promptly showed Hollinger why he's not 100% on his predictions.

That was a dominant performance by Howard last night. He’s not a great one-on-one scorer, no. But when the team is showing good ball movement and getting the rock to Howard in good position down low, the Magic are a tough, tough team to beat. They proved that last night, and I think Howard proved a lot of people wrong as well.

I also give credit to SVG for finally figuring this out as well, and for implementing a game plan that better suited the strengths of his team. They’ll need to do that even more for game 7.

Yes! Yes! In the face!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
