Off Topic: Awesome Billups Article
Wow. I can't recommend this article highly enough. What a great look at Chauncey Billups and how such a great player has been traded and under-appreciated.
Reading that article really makes you appreciate the importance of a veteran presence.

Chauncey is awesome
Easily my favorite player not wearing a Blazer uniform
The NBA: Where Amazingly Bad Officiating Happens.
that was an amazing article.
It was interesting how George Karl was always lurking in the shadows, waiting for Chauncey to fulfill his destiny. The story about Tay, Rip and Chauncey in the hotel room was touching, a humanizing look at an NBA warrior.
Tony Luftman Is an Animatronic Robot created by Cyberdyne Industries for the purpose of the destruction of the entire human race, no one shall be spared.
Great article.
Couldn’t stop reading. Insightful and touching. I’ve always like Chauncey to an extent but he’s definitely upped himself in my eyes. This is just proof of his quality. Would love to have him leading our team. That’s the type of veteran that could escalate this team to a championship. I personally don’t think he can with the surrounding cast in Denver. But I’m sure it’s near impossible to acquire him. He’s cast a shadow over Anthony as their star player.
Yeah, he would be great as a Blazer
I’ve thought that for awhile, but after reading the article, it has changed a bit for me. I used to want him on our team just to help us win. Now I want him on our team simply because I think it would be nice to be able to watch him and hear from him on a more regular basis.
I’d even be ok with bringing him in a few years down the road when he is no longer starter or even rotation quality just to help teach and so we get the pleasure of getting to know him better.
That's too long to read but the photos are nice
His wife is pretty and he had some crazy hair back in the day.
Full on Kid n' Play
"Damn the Blazers. Damn them to hell. They are working the rest of the league like a speed bag." - Bill Simmons 6/26/08
I miss that
My high school had a huge African American population and five guys all had haircuts like that and they called themselves the “Fresh Crew.” They all wore matching yellow sweatshirts and sweatpants with “The Fresh Crew” airbrushed on the back and their names down the legs of their pants. One guy was “Fresh Squeezed,” another “Fresh Moves,” and I think “The Fresh One.” I can’t remember the other names.
I only got about half way through it....gonna' read the second half in a bit here...
but it was good, no question. rec’d….
TheTinfoil: Prez, could we please get Fatty on one of these [podcasts]?
annthefan: Fatty would be awesome! Get him on there with Timbo. Now, that's entertainment.
pualo: Nah, Timbo would just talk to himself the whole time.
Good read, I just finished it
I wish fans had more access to NBA life, than just the games and what not. Not sure how that would work, but in reality, we know very little about how the underpinnings work.
Witty Unpredictable Talent and Natural Game
nice article
Thanks for the link
I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Thanks for the posting
great article
"Fernandez, to my eyes, is the Blazer who walks that walk most comfortably. A lot of Portland's fans (egged on, dare I say, by their local broadcasters) lament things like how Ron Artest or Yao Ming get to hit Brandon Roy's arms.
But I suspect Fernandez sees all that and thinks: We get to hit arms! Cool!"

yeah, for sure.
I’d love to get J-Kidd just for this reason. Even if he doesn’t play much, just having that mentor would be awesome.

Amazing article
the coloring would lead one to believe that many coaches have little idea of their players true strengths. That, or some of Chauncys early “less desirable” behaviors were simply left out for continuity. This Story does make me really like Billups, and want Nash, or the like for a mentor.
