Patterson withdraws from draft
Given the Blazers much publicized need for a physical presence at the back up four spot, Patterson's name had been mentioned frequently as a possible target. Now, he's out... and it's Dejuan Blair or bust.

If KP uses the pick or only moves up a couple of spots in the draft
I’ll probably tinkle myself at the thought of how upset everyone will be that a P-word didn’t happen.

He was my hope if we couldn't get Blair.
Now we must get Dejuan, or I will be sad.

Come on guys "Blair or Bust"
I believe that our back up 4 spot can be solved a number of ways
1) Joel Freeland coming over
2) Picking up a free agent
3) And of course Drafting Dejuan Blair
I know Freeland will not pick up as many rebounds as Blair, but I think Freeland will be the better defender and could develop into a back up 5 as well.

Get 2 and 3
I dont think Freeland has a place on this team. I have watched him a few times and think that a free agent like Tim Thomas would be a great fit and then draft Blair also and let him get some time to sit and watch. But i love his toughness. thats exactly what we need

I want Freeland to come over and Brockman to get stolen for a second round pick...

How 'bout the Lakers take Jon Brockman with the 59th pick & ...
try their damnedest to convert him into a modern-day Kurt Rambis?
Yet, all kidding aside, I still assert that Brockman isn’t a NBA caliber player.
