Green uniforms vs l*kers?
I am sure you've all noticed that many home teams have been sporting green uniforms due to it being NBA Green Week. Considering Portland is one of the greener cities in this country, I would find it hard to believe we wouldn't be participating in this trend.
So, are we expecting our Blazers to roll out sporting green Friday night vs the L*kers? Has anyone heard any official announcement about this?
If they do, I really hope they aren't as ugly as the the Chicago Bulls uniforms are tonight vs the Sixers. Just hideous.

I noticed The Bulls sporting them tonight.
I thought it was the Bucks vs. The Sixers when I first sat down.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

I hate odd colored jerseys.
Stupid trend. Teams should have two jerseys plus their one alternate, that’s it.

i am down for a couple of games
literally like two games at most, every other season or so where the team wears the throwbacks.
From the back of Travis Outlaw's Franz card: Travis leads the team in monstrous thunder dunks, wins awards for post game interviews, and often gets extra points for degree of difficulty.
From the back of Greg Oden's Franz card: Nickname: Jaws. Has an insatiable desire to tear rims apart while cruising the open court, and was once interested in using head-gear for his profession.

In my opinion
It is only cool on st patty’s day
There won't be clean officiating in the NBA until David Stern is forcibly removed by the US Congress in 2013 for fixing games.

The schedule says April 13 (against "Thunder") is "Green Awareness Game."
I cringe at the thought of a green Blazers jersey and hope they don’t break ‘em out. But if it’s going to happen I think it’ll be that game.
Hit it. Yes he did. Ohhhh yeah.

No no no
do not wear green jerseys vs. the Sonics/Dunder. I’m going to that game, please don’t. The Sonics were green – that would be a horrible fax paus. Make the Dunder wear green, that would be better/

Nate would not be down
This is too much of a no nonsense group to do that. Besides, wearing green in the Garden, screw the celtics

UGH!!!
Those Bulls uni’s tonight were the worst. It took me a few minutes (literally) to realize that the TV wasn’t going bad and that the jersey’s were actually that putrid color.
How does the NBA think it promotes being “GREEN” by making special jerseys? Doesn’t it take extra production from manufacturers to make the special jerseys? Why not actually make a push toward improved sustainability?
What a load of crap.
But I like to be here. Oh, I like it a lot! Said the Cat in the Hat. To the fish in the pot.

The NBA doesn't think it's going green
it’s just another attempt at making more money. Any connections with “green, eco-friendly” is just so people don’t realize how much of a money-grubbing act it really is.
Why do you think every team in the league has alternate jerseys? It’s only so that they can make more money. The higher number of jerseys a team has, the more they will sell.
That’s why I really disrespect teams like the Cavs, they wear their alternate blue jerseys or throwbacks almost every game, to the point where people actually forget they have a maroon jersey.

JA Adande talked about this in a chat
I couldn’t find the link, but it’s on espn.com All the special uniforms in general are just a way to make money. If people don’t buy them the NBA will stop doing it.
Now I’m worried for the Thunder game. If they are going to do this, they should do it during the middle of the season in the game that isn’t against the rival. These games have so much importance and there’s more focus on them it’s a shame we have to see them in games that decide playoff seeding like the bulls game today. It reminds me of when Emmit Smith broke the NFL rushing record against the Seahawks ninja turtle uniforms so now whenever they show that I think about those uniforms instead of the historical moment.

What did the ninja turtle uniforms look like? I’ve never heard of that game.

Exactly what I was thinking
Hypocrisy and greed pushed to their paroxysm, using ecology for lucrative reasons while hurting it doing so is really cynical…

Lets not experiment with uniforms
when we face our nemesis. Any other game but Friday’s.

I have long advocated
wearing a red jersey with the white stripe replaced with a yellow stripe in a show of respect for our Spanish Armada and all of their fans.

It doesn't make sense
If you’re ‘going green’ why whould you print/manufacture/consume more shirts and jerseys.
Really it’s just back a$$wards.
