Adam C Sager's Coraline VFX REEL from Adam C Sager on Vimeo. This is a professional reel I put together to showcase the work I did on the feature film Coraline. Learn more at http://sagerdigital.com/coraline

By now I hope you all have seen the first stop-motion movie ever to be shot in stereoscopic 3D... and just so happened to be made right here in RIP CITY at Laika Entertainment!!

I hope you all realize that if Laika does well, not only will it mean many more local movies to come, but it will put Portland on the map in the entertainment business, increase Portland's value in the overall market... and bring more attention to our Trailblazers!!

I've shared with you all before that I had the privilege of working on Coraline. Just recently I released my demo reel to the online world, and it has been getting quite a lot of attention, and I wanted to share it with you.

I hope you enjoy it, and are not too pis*ed at me for posting this waayy OT video. ;-)

Her wing span looks above average.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

She has the look of an undersized combo guard

But with her speed she could be a Monta Ellis type

Very nice. I hope Coraline became a success for you at the box office and other channels so far

Why was the face seam removal even necessary? Was that unavoidable due to how the heads were built?

I spoke extensively with the technical director of Pixar’s Monsters Inc. a few years ago, and getting explained how all this stuff works that I understand just at a superficial level despite having studied some 3D animation and compositing was exciting. Also the different “languages” those people speak. When his director demanded more dramatic emotion in the bedroom scenes when the monsters scare kids, to him that usually just meant “more violet and blue lights” :)

Hey that was cool.

Good luck. I hope you’ve been able to find more work.

Nice work on Coraline Adam.

My daughter and I saw it after it had left the 3D theaters (bummed we missed it at IMAX), but I could appreciate the work you guys put together. Most importantly, my 4 year old liked it so there’s your true test passed.

Keep it up, we look forward to seeing more work.
Let us(or me at least) know about any upcoming projects, I’m sure the BE crowd will patronize it in a good way. ;)

Tie down the furniture kids, it's time for another ride down Ulcer Gulch!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
