blazers have 18% chance of making the finals
I don't like to rely too heavily on stats, but Hollinger now has the Blazers with a 100% chance of making the playoffs, finishing 4-3 for 52-30 overall and an 18% chance of making the finals.
The l*kers have only 36%.
We also have the 2nd best (in the west) chance to win it all: 7.4%
Yet somehow, with the way our team is playing right now, I'm not surprised. Funny how that works.

Woah, higher than the spurs? That’s very odd.

I love our Blazers...
But I think Hollinger is an idiot. Even if he does love the Blazers.

Bullet in TrueHoop concerning this..
Who’s going to make the Finals from the West? Both John Hollinger and Justin Kubatko’s systems say the Lakers are heavy favorites. But if they stumble, the second most likely team is … the Spurs? The Rockets? The Nuggets? None of the above. The Blazers are almost twice as likely as the Spurs to make the Finals in Hollinger’s system, and roughly one-and-a-half times as much in Kubatko’s. I suspect that’s driven largely by Portland’s strong recent play, and average scoring margin of +4.34, which is the best of the West’s “other” teams.

It all equals his team rankings....hollingers that is
he has us at 5th at about 20 % if that makes any sense…. so his playoff odds and rankings are relative
