Thanks for a great series!

As a Houston fan I would like to thank Portland and all their fans for offering the Rox a great series. Most of you guys have been great and classy. Houston was a bad matchup for Blazers coming in and you guys still made almost every game a nail biter. Good games and best of luck! Your young team has a great future ahead of them, one that any team in the NBA would die to have. Wish us luck against the Fakers!

All right, I like this one better

I was trying to post in the other thread (now gone) that perhaps I’ll have to root for Houston after all.
After 6 games, they grew on me.

Sad showing in game six

It looked like a poor and uncreative effort in game six. Still the Rockets earned the win. Play the same brand of smart, physical basketball against the Lakers and you’ll give them a run for their money. Congrats to a hard fought series win, and BEAT LA.

Hope the Blazers learned something about playoff basketball and coming up big in the clutch.

Shaming Kobe eh...

I don’t think we will ever see Kobe ashamed of anything. As much as we all hate him, that guy is as tough as nails and as mentally strong as they come. You don’t become one of the best NBA players by being weak.

Rockets best bet to contain Kobe is contest every shot and keep him away from the rim and Yao as much as possible. I rather go against Lebron in all honesty as, like Roy, Kobe has a honey sweet jump shot.

Here is to Ron not going off and talking smack to Kobe. We had guarded him fairly decently before Ron pissed him off and he went off on us.

Kobe

Makes tons of big shots, and amazing drives at the rim. Despite that, at heart he’s still an immature kid who reacts poorly when he doesn’t get his way. See two huge losses at the RG this year. One of which he ducked out of refusing to talk to the media. Take him off his game and he’s just another ball hog that will shoot his team out of a game. It doesn’t happen often, but a strong team that isn’t intimidated by him can and will knock his ass back down to size. BEAT LA.

Hear hear!

I certainly agree that the Fakers need to be knocked off their high horse. For a team that hasn’t won it since Shaq, I have no idea where they get their confidence from. Since Rox won, we are the best team left in the west to give them a run for their money. No way Mavs or Denver can hang with them. Here is to hoping their bench does not outlast ours! Oh yea… also hoping that Stern has a stroke and the games get called fair for once!

If your good enough to beat us

and you proved that you are, you are good enough to beat LA,so do it please damnit please

If Stern doesn't affect the outcome

Then I honestly like the Rocket’s chances! Bynum got nothing on Yao and Fisher got nothing on Brooks or Lowry. Hopefully Battier and Ron-Ron can harass Kobe enough over the series to tire him out. Gasol bothers me because he has a sweet shot like LMA and other than Yao, we got a front court full of midgets. Hopefully Wafer will also cancel out Odom.

You forgot Scola! He was incredible against us! I hope that Scola>Pau!

I thank the Spurs

Every time I watch this guy play. He is not tall or athletic, but he his smart and plays his heart out. Unbelievable acquisition by us from a division rival. Anyone think the Spurs could have used Scola? :D

I would wish you luck but

I’m obviously biased here, but I think NBA fans were robbed of what would be a much more exciting series between Portland and LA. We can actually beat their team, and the heated scuffles between the two would surely lead to some exciting games.

Funny little fact.

First game of the season we had a score of 96-76 in a loss to LA.
Last game of the season we had a score of 92-76 in a loss to Houston.

We scored 76 points in both first and last games.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
