The one upside to losing in the first round
… Is that I just saved a ton of money on my season tickets.
Saving up for next season, baby!
Blake
Thank You blake for some great regular season play.
figured since since he the only guy with a ring, he’d have that playoff swagger…wrong
bring us a PG and lets tear next season up.
Here's a weird knee jerk for you...
In a way, losing in the first round may be better for us next season, rather than advancing to the second round.
Had the Blazers gone onto the second round, anything less the WCF would be considered a failure. Now the Blazers just have the pressure of getting into second round.
have we really learned anything tho?
we never really learned to adjust to the officiating…and we were never able to win on the road…something that plagued us all season and off season.

i doubt there will be too many knee jerk posts
the bandwagon is already a little emptier now.

Band Wagon Filling Up
3rd year for Aldridge and Roy. First for Oden, Rudy, and Batum. Blake and Przy B in their prime. Band wagon will be like a train with no breaks by next season start. 60 win season? WCF? The future only looks brighter.
i guess i should have said it's temporarily a little emptier

Travis...
I like you, named my puppy after you, but man – what a horrible series. I fear you won’t be here next season.
Here is my Playoff mode signature, that I thought up myself: "Just Do It".
What's worse?
I fear he might STILL be here next season!
"Death is not final," Gita says. "If any man thinks that he slays, and if another thinks that he is slain, neither knows the truth. The Eternal in man cannot kill: the Eternal in man cannot die. The soul in man is neither born nor does it die. Weapons cannot cut it; fire cannot burn it; water cannot drown it.

Win or lose, I'm just glad we have a team we can be proud of
As much as I complain…I’m totally grateful to be complaining about Nate’s substitutions or Trout’s low BBIQ rather than Quintel’s Dogfighting, or Damon’s Hummer.

I agree
Predictably, everyone will jump all over Outlaw and call for his trade. We had a great season. Let’s let things cool down a bit and let the master (KP) do his thing.

Great year
What a great season! Disappointing loss tonight of course, but back in October no one thought we’d even make it to the Playoffs this year. What a ride. Thanks Blazers! The next several years are going to great.
Any idea if the guys are coming home tonight or tomorrow? I was thinking about going out to the airport to welcome them back.
This game changes the entire way I look at this series
Before this game, I was kind of throwing game 1 out the window as an aberration. Its no longer an aberration. We were blown out twice in 6 games. Houston was clearly the better team in this series. Our vaunted depth fizzled.
We know Brandon Roy can perform in the playoffs. That’s good. LaMarcus Aldridge has served notice that he can score in big games— though we need it more consistently. Rudy Fernandez is a warrior. Joel Przybilla and Greg Oden can work hard on defense.
Here’s something else we learned: Portland needs another star. A 2nd top 15 player. I highly doubt LaMarcus can be that guy. His defense isn’t good enough and he still shoots too many long 2s (the worst shot in basketball). I am holding out hope that Oden can be (and we need to give him another year before we even begin to draw conclusions), but watching him stumble, bumble and fumble, I can’t say with any confidence that it will happen. Kudos to Oden for being a contributor this year despite being way less than 100% of the athlete he was at OSU, but we need that dominant defender and rebound machine with good hands.
If we have the chance to bring in a star this summer, we must do it, even at the cost of Rudy or Aldridge. This team, as currently constructed, is set up to be a really good team for a long time— and can be a championship team if Oden becomes great. However, if Oden never gets his per-micro athleticism back, this team is a star— not just a player— away from being a title team.
Great season. Surpassed my pre-season expectations by a lot. Kudos to a lot of the Blazers for stepping up. Next year, I believe this team can go as far as the WCF even if we don’t get a major impact player this summer and Oden doesn’t make a huge leap. That’s not my goal though. I desperately want a title, and this game was very discouraging to that end— not that we lost, but that we had so few people show up, that we were so lacking in passion and desperation.
I’ll probobly feel better tomorrow, but this game really turns a frustrating but encouraging series into a discouraging series for me. It makes it impossible for me to ignore game 1.
Great playoff series
Just want to say great series Blazer fans and ya have a lot of pieces to build on.
thanks and congrats
Tonight the Rockets proved beyond any doubt that they deserve to move on. Good luck in round 2.
lol
i love your handle
reminds me of Pho King…or the one i made up Pho Nominal.

I hate Mike Finley
Congrats to Houston. Beat LA!
Going forward Blazers have 5 draft picks, and Rockets have none :)
lol
yeah, I still think that man cost us a trip to the WCF, though the way Denver is playing right now… maybe not.
Well, my Mavs now have a historical chance
Kidd doesn’t face any really amazing point guard the rest of the way he couldn’t handle, and he really leads the team.

Thx Blazers
and Blazers Edge. It was a really enjoyable season.
My offseason wishlist:
KP: A banging power forward. Nate: A new offensive scheme that involves more than one player at a time.
But first of all, why don’t you guys kick back some!
Great job Portland.
AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
uhm.. hello?!! what was that?!?!
ways tonight hurt…
1. where did the hustle go? weren’t we the young team that was going to wear the old guys down over a long series? weren’t we getting better? what happened!!? i can’t think of a single intelligent analytic thing!!! but it really felt like the whole team fell flat and never recovered enough to make up for the rockets ability to step right back up>,.!
2. so much energy goes into the playoffs and these elimination games really make it tough!! and now i have to listen to everyone talk about everything except how we are still playing in the playoffs!!!!
3. i wish i had a scola doll (ick!) to kick!!!!!!! as if it wasn’t bad enough to lose, but to be subject to looking at that hurts my visual cortex!!!
4. I don’t like the refs. This isn’t a statement of fault/blame/anything. I just feel like I don’t like any refs right now, and it might just take me a few months to recover from a kneejerk reaction against anything in vertical stripes
that is all.. go blazers
Take it to the Hole!!
On the side bar, just two posts below this,

Obviously a good idea since more then one of you came up with it.
I want to focus on Rex. I want to know what we have in him once and for all.
