I'm not ready for my skitchish days of Blazer withdrawals yet. Lets do this!
Seriously, I've been a different bar to watch every game, and each time the place is packed with people, no matter where you go. The city is all ripped on the blazers and its way too great to let go of now. I think the Blazers come out on top tonight again.
Sidenote- How awesome is it to see the collective stereotypes of portland bond together for this ride? The rex-spec'd scruffy designer guy in SE rocking a Roy Jersey? The beer-bellied smoke-faced trucker squeezed into his 'Alaa Abdelnaby Frontpage Oregonian' playoff shirt circa '91 shirt downing a cold one and spinning yarns about why Buck Williams went to goggles during the playoffs? The side-tilt black-on-black pinwheel logo hat homie draped in real-size aldridge jersey and knock-off ice gettin all G on Rip City? Pearl Mom's herding their trove of trustfundies around Hoyt in Outlaw jersees fit for a gang of oompa loompas dripping black and red. So awesome.. and by the way, Red and Black is OUR colors. How hard is that!
Artest misses more than he makes. Von Wafers crying on the bench with a bad back while Aldridge's elbow and Roy's flu are standing a post. Yao's feet are crumbling faster than the Jehovah walk on Crusade. I say the Blazers and ripe and ready to keep this train rolling.
BLAZER TRUMPETS WELCOME YOU BACK TO PORTLAND ON SATURDAY! LETS DO THIS!!!
