Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

BREAKING: Hornets to Relocate.

"We had to think about it long and hard," said team majority owner George Shinn at an emotional press conference. "But we've seen the success stories. Brandon Jennings, Josh Childress, and our very own Jannero Pargo have thrived in that environment. With the value of the dollar plummeting, there's no time like now."

The favored destinations would appear to be Barcelona, Moscow, and Stockholm, although the Bosnian city of Medugorje- whose lax tax policies and frequent religious apparations appeal to Shinn- is a darkhorse candidate.

Despite Shinn's upbeat tone, GM Jeff Bower struck a more despondent chord.  "We definitely feel like we let the league down tonight. With all the goodwill that the United States has built internationally, especially in the last decade, especially in the Middle East, we definitely feel like we let the whole country down tonight. Nobody can take this great nation seriously any more, and for that we must atone."    http://www.atthehive.com/

And Oden, once again, is a rookie, so non-stop fast break basketball is like fast-forwarding a song while he's trying to learn the lyrics.

LOL!!!!

This is maybe the best thing for the poor Hornets. They just embarassed the game of basketball. Wow.

Hey… Quick question for the Bedge:

Do you think the Nugs ran up the score too much? Personally I’ve never believed in that concept. If you play badly enough to lose by 58, you deserve to lose by 58. Well, not like this. But really, the Hornets are a professional club (sort of) If they lose by this much, they got what they deserve.

I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

No, i dont believe in the notion of running up the score

if you are a professional team, in the playoffs nonetheless, you do not give even a glimmer of hope to the team trying to win.

Haha.

That is funny stuff. Props to ATT for finding humor in this. If the Blazers lost like that this site would explode with angry fanposts.

Ah, the humor that is satire.

All kidding aside, though, some Portland fans would probably kill themselves if the Trail Blazers were nearly doubled up and lost by almost 60 in a game. Seriously, there’d be a few folks on suicide watch.

Of course, there’s always a bit of truth in humor.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
