Half On, Half Off
Roy, Blake, Rudy and Greg are doing in the playoffs about what they did during the season.
Pryz, LMA, Travis and Batum aren't. They're way off their season numbers.
Given that our four strugglers are front court players, maybe Houston's front court is dramatically better than average. That's certainly some part of it.
But there still seems reason to hope that two of the four, say, will break loose, and we'll hold serve at home and finally break through there.
Whatever the case, our bigs have to come up bigger. Our guards are playing their games already, well enough for us to win.

dude, you are writing entirely too many fanposts
your fanpost to comment ratio is way, way too high. Please participate in other people’s threads instead of just posting your own thoughts and pushing other posts off the main page.

This is Hulk's completely worthless post #7 in the past 48 hours....
I am looking forward to your next insightful piece in about….47 minutes

Reccing both of the comments
Seriously Hulk, most people have a 50-100:1 comment/post ratio. Yours is less than 2:1.
People's frustration with fanposts is overflowing into your posts
Just read Dave’s fanpost about the fanposts and you should be fine.

At least you’re trying to start a conversation.
Life is not by chance. Basketball is life.
This guy has gotten Dave's fanpost link already. What exactly is the unique, interesting or informative thesis of this post that is supposed to drive intelligent conversation?
Really…what?

8/10 recent fanposts are utterly useless, uninformative, and should not have been created in the first place.
3 of them are yours Hulk. Seriously, what the hell man?
The least you could have done is combine them into one post. Display a little common courtesy in regards to the sidebar.
If the standard is unique, interesting and informative
I don’t get it. It’s a nice sentiment, for example but “I’m proud of the guys” has some quality that this post is missing?
Anyway, I didn’t know the standards here, and really can’t take the time to read the threads. I read the main part of most of the posts. Sorry to have offended you. Would appreciate some common courtesy myself, given that boards like this are too new for someone to insist that the rules of courtesy must be commonly understood.

If you don’t know the rules by now. It might be time to join a different blog.

Not every post meets those standards
But most of the least interesting posts aren’t coming from the same poster in volume anywhere near this high.
No offense, but this is just a different format than a lot of forums, with different decorum.
If you posted one or two or three fanposts like this, no big deal. But one or two or three A DAY (or even a week) pushes out other potentially interesting content and dilutes the quality of the board.
Q: Is Greg favoring his knee?
Frye: He favors dunking on your head, that's what he favors.
I don't buy it
You don’t have time to read fan posts, but you have time to post 34 of them.
In other words… no one elses stuff is worth reading, but we should all have to read yours.
I did the "proud" post.
No, it wasn’t the most insightful, but this was a pretty awful place last night after the game, and I was looking for a thread that wasn’t entirely about firing the coach or two thirds of the team. Figured I might not have been alone.
Oh, and that was my first fanpost ever.
I agree this place is different than just about any other forum I’ve seen, but then so is the quality of the discussion, and it’s a small price to pay IMO.
You don't need to defend yourself.
And hulk, this blog does take a bit to get used to. People, however, are obviously short tempered after last night’s game.
Try to see it from both sides.
We are happy to have you here and your thoughts are important to us, we just want you to follow our little social contract for the site.
You're right - there's no reason to be rude
but please read Dave’s recent fanpost about sidebar use. I know I get a little resentful when I see several posts from people who do not participate in the threads. Lineup adjustments have been tackled in many, many posts. Your alternatives are perfectly valid and have a place in those threads, too

Don't worry.
BEdge is filled with rude people that live on their computer just telling other people not to make posts. Just don’t take them seriously.
smile, your on a poster
This coming from a guy who has 17 posts against 94 comments....no wonder he's defending it.

12 being fanshots. All of those are links or videos.
I’m just saying that being love to be mean behind their computer, I don’t know why. It is unfortunate. You are not helping to brake the mold either.

Ok Trail Blazer--my apologies:
If 12 are fanshots, then your ratio improved to a much more reasonable rate. And after looking at a few, they are intelligent. I don’t want to be all bloggy-policey. I have just found Hulk’s numerous, pointless fanposts to be the prime example of waste of space. Go back and look at Hulk’s body of work and decide if this is what you want to defend.
I will go back to the main page now.

Sure.
Would Hulk’s post be much more fitting in another thread’s discussion? Yes. Does he deserve the ridicule? Nah.
Hopefully we’ll all learn from this.
