Even if the blazers win the series, it looks like there are some holes that need to be filled, or some rotation changes that need to be made.
As we have seen Steve Blake throughout the season, he has always had trouble defend the quick gaurds in the NBA. Steve Blake i believe is a great second string point guard in the west, however against the likes of other point guards he cant compare. One solution that may work without a trade is moving Bradon Roy to the PG position, he is really good at working from the top of the key and is good at getting others involved. This would move Steve Blake as the backup and would insert Rudy Fernandez at SG and keep jerryd bayless as a SG, which is a more natural position for him to play. Sergio and Travis i could see being traded away, especially if the Blazers plan on developing Nicolas Batum and keeping Martell Webster. Greg Oden will no doubt start next year, and channing frye will probably leave via free agency, which means we need a backup PF in the offseason. With Brandon Roy controlling the court, with Oden, Rudy, Lamarcus, and a mix of Webster and Batum i see it being a better team offensively, and most importantly defensively. any thoughts?
