I guess Yao just had a no-foul zone around him...
at both ends of the court.
Really? Like, really???
“They were very physical," coach Rick Adelman said. "They put their hands on him. They wrestled with him from the top of the key all the way down.

Yeah Joel is really being physical.
Regarding BRoy:"Another day, another buzzer-beater. This man is so clutch he sets his body clock to go off one second before his alarm does every morning."

Great pic
He makes Joel look tiny. Those legs!
lol... right?
Yao looks a good foot taller than Joel in that pic.
...
they were being physical against Yao but I feel sometimes makes it look like they are wrestling him and freaks out. Pryz and Oden were just trying to front him and a lot of the time Yao would obviously try to step in front of them (that’s what I would do) and they would deny him and Yao would fling his arms up.
Then you have the one time when Oden was fronting him then Yao locked Oden’s arm turned towards the ref like Oden was holding him and was acting. Not to mention Oden fouled out and Pryz had 5 fouls… and also LMA had 5 fouls. So it wasn’t like calls werent being made.

Sure, call it both ways
Yao had contact with Roy on many a drive to the lane that went uncalled.
I'm a little confused by your tactics

You'll notice
that apparently he had no trouble with the Game #1 referees, who called more fouls on the Blazers than the Rockets….
And BTW, the Rockets would have been called for fewer fouls in Game #2 as well except for the fact that they fouled intentionally at the end of the game. 28 fouls for the Rockets, 26 for the Blazers.
I agree with daves post
This is a really hard series to Ref, both teams are playing really physical. They could foul out just about every player if they wanted to. How they are choosing the fouls to call is what i have a problem with.
I hope I can get a bunch of championships, like 15. " - Greg Oden
Kind of like holding calls in football?
the zebras could call holding on offensive lineman on practically every play…but then the [insert your most hated NFL rival’s team name, here] winning drive would stall and TV ratings would take a dive
This is what Rick Adelman will never win a ring
Can’t take ownership of his own situation. Has to blame it on the refs. You don’t see Nate doing that, do you?
Maybe
But Phil Jackson does this every year, and unfortunately has quite a few rings to show for it.
"I don’t have the first clue who he is talking about, because all I worry about is Jerome." – Jerome James, on comments by coach Nate McMillan about Seattle SuperSonics players being selfish.
Rick used to whine about the refs back in the '90s, as well
But back then he was “our” coach, so the complaing was “justified”
Officials like Jake O’Donnell had it “in” for Buck Williams and Clyde Drexler. Adelman’s whining was not helpful then, hopefully it will have the same negative affect, now
But you never can tell, the “international appeal” of Yao may trump all other concerns, as far as the league office is concerned…
Yao's a great actor
and complainer. I don’t think he’s ever gotten a call that he didn’t whine about.
At least he was real about it. I thought the same thing. For the first few minutes they were calling everything. Then they started to let them play a little more but still made some small calls.
Travis Outlaw fan from the beginning.
