haha i love the, "THE OFFICIAL I HATE JOEL PRZYBILLA THREAD"
i saw battier the premier defender hit the floor half a dozen times the first game and pryz is the king of the flops?! hahaha
That thread is fantastic
Full of classy and well written posts.
Funny in an unintentional way.
Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception.

Honorable mention
Shane Battier — He’s perhaps the most prominent of the Duke flopping fraternity
In with the likes of Vlade, Manu, and Reggie Miller
"Damn the Blazers. Damn them to hell. They are working the rest of the league like a speed bag." - Bill Simmons 6/26/08
I read that thread too...
I did turn to my friend in the stands when Joel flopped, he said he didn’t, the reply showed otherwise… still love the Thrilla.
#10 Pryzbilla the Vanilla Gorilla
Its just that its CLEAR that he cant guard Yao 1 on 1
To us Rockets fans it just seems that the only way he is able to stop Yao…is fall on the floor. And I don’t blame Nate for playing him because of that. Oden also got on my nerves when he pushed Yao…when HE WAS HOOKING Yao the ENTIRE play. In conclusion, you guys did what we thought you would do, and that is take Yao out of the game. I think its the coachs fault when your best player only gets 6 shots in a game.

You didn't watch the game very well
Yao hooked Oden so it would look like a foul on Oden. Nice try, buddy.
He pushed Yao because Yao wouldn’t let his arm go

That's the problem with that website currently
Can’t make it through a single thread without someone crying about the officials or Greg’s flopping. Just how many offensive fouls was Yao whistled for anyway?
by levelhed on Apr 22, 2009 11:59 AM PDT up reply actions 1 recs
and how many defensive fouls did he get away with at the end.
they refs didn’t want him to foul out.
OH! IT'S A LOB TO RUDY!! And he Jams it!
From Sergio; the Spanish Armada hooks up again!
I'm sorry
But if you cannot understand what happened on that play, then you’re a massive homer and I can’t trust your opinion on anything.
We can freely admit that Przybilla flopped on Yao’s 4th foul.
You can’t seem to admit that Scola is a flopping master and that Yao hooks himself up with Oden to draw fouls.
Kind of a one way street here?
Also, the game was tied going into the 4th. We didn’t pull ahead with Yao on the bench. We beat you guys in the 4th when Yao committed “zero” fouls.
the only way scola plays D is to fall on the floor
but we havent done an I hate Scola thread yet
it may be coming tho

I absoluetly LOVE that Rocket fans HATE Pryzbilla!
He’s developed into one of those guys you love you have on your team and hate when he’s playing against you… Good job Pryzzy keep the chip shots, charges, rebounds, hustle plays going… He’s getting right in the thick of things, not backing down, and above all playing smart. I don’t think he’s been playing ‘dirty’, but even if Rocket fans think he has, guess what? this is playoff basketball, win or go home.. And I’d rather a guy play dirty than weak and scared.

Since when do you know more about playoff basketball than Houston?
No offense, (really I don’t mean this in a rude way) but we as Houston fans know what it takes to win in the playoffs..our team just hasn’t done it..in..a really…reallllyyy.. loooonnnnggggggg….time lol.
Props to the Blazers for last night’s win. We shot super poorly from the freethrow line and couldn’t stop B.Roy. The pathetic officiating job was a minor detail in this loss (in my opinion)
Przybilla may not be high on the lists of most Rockets fans right now but he’s not as bad as Okur or Kirilenko
by UHoustonFan on Apr 22, 2009 12:16 PM PDT up reply actions
Because we're not 12 year olds
The Blazers have had a tough stretch recently, but before that we DID have 20 straight years of playoff basketball.
I'd say we have equal playoff experience...
All your years of losing in the first round don’t really count much for experience IMO… They more count to deflate your team and may lead to your coach being fired if they lose to the Blazers. I mean, how many first round exits can one team take? Especially against a team who hasn’t been there in a while… Oh, and the dude who wrote the recap on DreamShake states in a bullet point and bold letters: “Joel Przybilla has just been added to my ‘hate’ list” … So that’s sort of where I got the whole idea that Rocket fans hate him.

Portland holds the NBA record for most consecutive playoff appearances...
…While Houston had to get a PORTLAND star (Clyde) and had to have MJ retire to get it done.
Grats, buddy, you really know what it takes to win the playoffs. OUR championship team beat Dr. J.

Well Hakeem
did win one without Drexler to be fair. I also agree with Zaig if we hadn’t been screwed out of getting Hakeem it would have been a Portland Dynasty from 1986 to 1996. Hakeem is my all time favorite center to watch play without a doubt. Loved the Dream.

You are right
If Rockets fans like Przybilla, then Joel ain’t tryin’ hard enough. Veterans learn the art of the flop—on every team, including Houston.
It's spelled "PRZYBILLA."

Przy was getting pushed aroud a lot
so what if he had to sell the call. It was the only way he was going to get the calls he should have gotten earlier.
Hello Dum Dum
Sorry, but in IMHO ClutchFans Houston Forum is spectacularly sucktacular!
The Dream Shake Blog has a thousand times more style, class and appeal.
I shall never visit that “swamp” of a bbs ever again.

I sometimes enjoy the freeforall format
BlazersEdge, with it’s rules and swearing prohibition sometimes kills my buzz, but then I compare it to ClutchFans and realize why I come here; it’s just so much more intelligent and well reasoned.
There are so many petty, biased fans on both sides who yap about the referees that it greatly annoys me.
I get disgusted by the lunacy and wish those rambling numskulls would shut up, but that’s a wishful thinking.
Haha, they are calling Joel a flopper!?
Talk about pot meets kettle.
When has he flopped against Yao? Yao pushes and hooks on offense and flops constantly on defense.
Yao has already flopped against Roy and Fernandez. I can understand Roy knocking you down, but Rudy is like a buck seventy and Yao is 310.
"Sasha? That's a sissy name." -Mike Rice
"Let's go to win the playoffs!!!" -Rudy Fernandez
actually I believe it was Rodriguez
in this last game, they came together and Yao ended up on the floor
From the back of Travis Outlaw's Franz card: Travis leads the team in monstrous thunder dunks, wins awards for post game interviews, and often gets extra points for degree of difficulty.
From the back of Greg Oden's Franz card: Nickname: Jaws. Has an insatiable desire to tear rims apart while cruising the open court, and was once interested in using head-gear for his profession.
Okay I am so sick of people on both sides getting this issue wrong.
Game 1: Rudy Fernandez took it to the hoop. Yao stepped in front of him and Rudy barreled into him at a good speed. This was as close to a tossup between charge/block as you can get. Yao was sliding in front of Rudy about the time Rudy was getting there. Regardless YAO SHOULD HAVE FALLEN HERE. Rudy slammed into him fast enough that it would have taken energy to stay up. In the NBA, you don’t use extra effort to stay up because if you’re getting hit that hard you should fall to draw a foul.
Game 2: This is the Sergio/Yao incident. Don’t wanna do a writeup because I haven’t seen a replay, but from the sounds of things, Yao and Sergio bumped into each other during a loose ball type play. Sergio somehow outmuscled Yao, who decided to try and draw a foul.
I think you have
the games backwards but you are right that he has fallen due to both Spainards. I also think the Rudy one was a charge and the Sergio was a laughable flop.

They also said that Joel is weak, like he would cower away from a fight...
…I just laughed, and laughed, and laughed…
Joel was ready to take down Tyson Chandler… WITH a broken wrist.
Joel is weak?
That is epic. We could create a montage video of Joel staring people down and be out of 80s music before we’re out of footage.
Some funny posts on that site:
“Battier guards Roy so much better. If it weren’t for the refs he would have been completed locked down by Shane”
My personal favorite:
“one of the worst effeciating game in the history of the NBA…”
“Referees – What were they smoking? They were all for Roy and Flopzilla the whole game. Seriously, call it on the other end too”
“I will tell u this ..u mother****ers wont let the most worthy post er start an new thread ,,,but Brandon Roy and L. Russel will have brokien ****in kneem caps come thursday …bank on it ..i have full access a T.C so u mother****ers better bail me out.”
You gotta admit
Flopzilla is hilarious.

The Bhagavad Gita
Ill be the first to tell you
There are alot of posts over there are obviously dumb…as with all forums. But ask any REAL Rockets fan. We know why we lost. Not in any order
1. FT’s
2. Key turnovers at the end of the game
3. 6 shots for YAO
The officiating I think was bad in general. Personally I think Crawford sucks! But I mean there was no excuse. You have to understand tho, its like you guys watching Scola…we understand he can be viewed as a flopper… But you really honestly cant see why we would think Pryz is a flopper? Granted, he isnt a full fledged flop artist like AK or most of the Jazz who should be attending Floppers Anonymous.

I agree though there are some pretty bad fans in general.
I appreciate your insights. Go to ESPN.com… it is the worst over there.
I really think the swearing filter helps here
When people are allowed to swear they let 4 letter words dominate their posts instead of actual thought processes. I’ve been guilty of this in other forums as well.
If you can’t write well enough to get your point across without swearing, then your point isn’t worth reading.
Przybilla flopped, but this does not make him a flopper.
Let me explain!
I cooked dinner last night, but I am definitely not a cook. I simply had to cook this one time because nobody would cook for me.
Przybilla is not a flopper. He simply flopped last night because nobody would make a call if he didn’t. As soon as calls are made, Billa can go back to being 100% man like he usually is. Just like I can go back to not cooking ASAP.
Guys who flop regardless of the situation are floppers. Scola, AK47, Magette (why is no one mentioning him), Ginobli, and some others are in this category.
Floppers Anonymous
I love it.
I think I’m going to have to change my signature do to all the great “Flop Talk” today.

Clutchfans is a cesspool
The Dreamshake is a far superior avenue for dialogue and analysis.
I fear for the day Paul Allen is no longer the owner of the Blazers.
He needs to reproduce soon so we have an heir in succession.
The refs suck both ways
and everyone flops every now and then. For every flop there is a no call and vice versa.

Nah
The Dream Shake is where it’s at. SB Nation blogs stick together.
"The brownies,'' Fernandez said after the game. "The brownies are good for me to make three-points.''
That place is a trash dump upon further review.

Wow! I know we've got some pretty bad homers (myself included)
but … that Rockets’ site is freaking incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such rabid home-insanity anywhere, ever. Good for a chuckle, though. “Trash dump” is a compliment for that site.
