I'm gonna do something I was hoping to avoid.
I’m gonna watch the local broadcast of the game. I’m convinced that while my ears felt better watching the ESPN broadcast that it may have had a negative effect on the team.
Tonight, I’m gonna watch it with the local guys. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it’s only right that I sacrifice a small portion of my sanity for the good of the team. Besides, who needs sanity when you have a winning Blazers team?

Different but the same
I’m wearing my Powell’s shirt instead of my Blazers shirt (I always sorta felt my Blazer shirt wasn’t as lucky as it should be. We’ve blown out good teams with it on, but also X-Mas day loss and the Game 1 loss.), got my headband ready and game shorts on. I’ve lived a good, clean life today.
We are winning this game.
Mercury told a dog, a dog whose name could very well be Rocket, that it can go eat an egg and she scared the dog sumthin’ fierce. If Mercury is ready, the Blazers are ready.

In all honesty...
There is no bad blood between Buffalo and NE. They have just beat us 10 straight games. The only thing I can remember to get us riled up is the Vince Wilfork hit on JP Losman that cost him his job in the NFL.

the Lakers as much as most people since I’m a relatively new Blazer fan (3 or 4 years). I would say some of the long term fans “hate” the Lakers cause they played many key post-season series with them over the years.
But I’ll definitely have to agree to disagree on this statement: “I just want Kobe to win as many titles as Jordan”

It depends on what Chinese you ask
To the Chinese in Hong Kong and Taiwan, it wasn’t very bright. But looking at the long bloody history of mainland Chinese it actually made sense.
Reading about what happened during the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution just makes your shake your head. First that mainland China had so many people that it could have 30 million of their own countrymen starve to death and nobody blinks an eye.

Houston sure scares me...
They’re a more efficient team w/o T-Mac, play the best team D in the West, and tough to out coach with Adelman at the helm (his team prep is off of the charts).
If these young Blazers can score 100, they’ll win. If not… well…

Bandwagon fans probably will be really upset about a sweep
But people who have followed the team for years understand that we have a 5-9 year window that is just opening up right now. This team is already ahead of schedule and winning this series would be icing on the cake. Of course I want to win a championship this year, but I keep the big picture in mind as well.

To be honest...
I’m kinda psyched to see how they rebound after that bad loss. Will set the tone for the series and the next season I think.
