How Good Are These Trailblazers?

Portland is in the race for homecourt, but exactly how good is this bunch?

At 20 games over .500, the Blazers are looking at their best record in 9 years. They are battling for playoff positioning with teams like the Hornets, Spurs, Rockets, Nuggets, and Jazz. They are leaving veteran teams like the Mavs and Suns completely in the dust. Look at the just-completed March. The young Blazer team crushed the Lakers, Spurs, Suns, and Jazz. Not to mention almost beating the Cavs on the road without our second best player. The Cavs are 36-1 at home.

Looking at the roster, you see young talent everywhere. One of our biggest problems is who to give playing time to. Not many teams would have Channing Frye and Jerryd Bayless (or some nights Sergio) completely out of the rotation. They're not great, but every team could at least find a spot in the rotation for two guys with that type of talent. And what team is deep enough to bring three guys like Outlaw, Rudy, and Oden off the bench?

And so, my question to you is very simple: exactly how good are these Blazers? Are they third best team in the West? 8th? Is this a team that could win a series?  Do you think teams are saying "I don't want to have to play them in the playoffs"?

I know, very general, but just want to hear some thougts on how good you think we are this year.
