can't see it happening
he’ll be 30 by the start of next season, and he doesn’t play defense, so I just don’t think he’d fit

Two actually.

He has an early termination option this summer, that I don't think he will use in the current financial situation of teams...
…unless a team like OKC had guaranteed him to pick him up for a certain price. Why not wait until 2010 when some team hoping for a major free agent could use him as a consolation or in addition. He plays more like Dirk Nowitzki than a true center. And at around $9 million, he would be a bit too pricey as a backup (PF/C) unless you see us dealing away Joel. All in all, pretty unlikely that he will be a Blazer.

Yeah, Mehmet Okur should surely stick around with the Utah Jazz for one more season at $9,000,000.
It’ll be interesting to see what’ll happen over there in Mormon country with Carlos Boozer, who I expect to decline the player option in his contract and sign with the Detroit Pistons. Once Boozer heads to Motown, that’ll send Rasheed Wallace into the wide world of free agency.
Regarding Wallace, it’d likely be in his best interest to sign a one-year deal worth the mid-level exception with the San Antonio Spurs. With Tim Duncan in major need of some frontline help and Fabricio Oberto’s NBA career coming to a close, Wallace would be a welcomed short-term addition in the Alamo City.
