Last night on Trail Blazers Courtside a caller called in saying that the NBA has the rankings wrong. The caller said that in a three way tie for playoff seating’s it goes to an overall record between the two teams. The blazers have the better combined record between the Spurs and Denver so they should have the 2nd spot in the rankings. I can't seem to find the rule he found, but he said it was on NBA.com. I think this needs more investigation so caller of Courtside if you are out there please post all of your info so we can get our crack Blazers Edge investigating crew on the conspiracy.

Of all the things that can be expressed in the printed word – love, hate, fear, joy – true humor is the one that is the most difficult of all. Sarcasm, for example, is an art of delicate subtlety. Yet too many people wield it as a bulldozer – loud, smelly, ugly, and destructive – and think they are being funny.

It's a newer rule.
Division winner is the first tie breaker. End of story.

It was a young kid who called in so I knew he was just excited and jumping the gun.
A friend of mine emailed me the same information and it just didn’t add up. Hobo’s right—first tie breaker is Division Champ. That’s that. We’re playing Houston! Should be awesome! Be happy!

On a side note...
I wish 95.5 would stop playing the clip of Rebecca Haarlow starting up the “DEFENSE” chant yesterday at the square.
Oh, and did I REALLY hear her yell , “Hollerrrr!”?!?! She’s not cute enough to get away with that in my book.

SERIOUSLY
How is it that ANYONE HONESTLY thinks the NBA and ESPN and the Blazer announcers and everyone else all have it wrong. It blows my mind.

because everyone had it wrong on d-miles?
just saying that isn’t always a good enough reason :)
Please, for the love of all that is holy, please stop using the following: "Book it.", "FTW", "Epic" & "Fail".
...no seriously--stop.
