Don't get me wrong, it's very very good music.
Just not QUITE the feeling I have when I watch the Blazers. I would think something more post-grunge hip-hop fusion. But maybe that’s just me.

HORRIFICLY OVER EDITED, BADLY EDITED CRAAAAAAP!
Not the plays. I love me those plays and this awesome team andI truly want to watch the plays but I hate, HAAAATE, editing done in this manner. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I mean would it be okay if my eyes were allowed to focus on anything for half a second?
This may no bother most people but it does me and I obviously have a strong opinion on the subject. Anyway, if there are any vids showing all our awesome plays done in a more watcher friendly manner let me know.
I don't mean to be a jerk to who ever posted this
You were just using the latest vid editing tricks. It just hurts my eyes and so it makes me pissy. I just want people to be aware that in my opin this is very bad for our optical nerves. Or maybe just mine.

This year is NOT a building season!!
by collectiveshane on Apr 16, 2009 4:29 PM PDT up reply actions
Give me this same raw footage and I'll do it
I would simply not cut so much despite having three angles to choose from. I would just choose, you know, the one… most times anyway. And I would lose the soft focus like others have said and might change up a few of the announcers calls. The TV guy did a better job on the Rudy five point play than Wheeler did.
I wouldn’t have been such a lil b’yatch about it but I was so disappointed that I didnt’ get to watch it that I raced over here and rage posted. It’s like drunk dialing but with more typing.
Funniest thing is like later in the day I saw that I had not actually erased the vid and I ended up watching it. I sure do hate editing like that and I had to hold it farther away from my eyeballs but it’s a pretty darn good vid over all. Seems like it had all the best plays. And tons of Sergio and the Rudy. Viva Le Blazers.

i think Dave
said something about only commenting on the content, not the manner it was put together, besides, you’re wrong
Mostly amazing but I agree,
whatever it’s called (someone said Soft Focus?) is overused and annoying when applied to an entire video.
Soft Focus
Great record by Rick Laird (bass player) with Joe Henderson on sax, Tom Grant on keyboards, Ron Steen on drums. – Elgin
Tonight felt like the day you open the mail and receive an acceptance letter to your dream school: the University of Playoffs. - Ben Golliver, Apr 15 2009
Hearing the announcers all the time is what's annoying
The plays are very good and I could watch them over and over, but the announcers we’ve heard them way too much. We know by heart what they’re going to say and how they’ll fake crying.
Other than that it’s not that badly edited, sometimes it switches camera a bit fast but only from times to times. The music was ok at some points but sometimes you’d hear it was taken from an epic movie. In my opinion just bits from that music would have been fine and then there should have been different songs.
Also a few plays are missing like Oden’s new offensive moves, like the one against Phoenix and in recent games too (who can say he’s only got one move now). I’d like to have seen the play where Batum scores and then steals the ball and scores a near buzzer 3 point against San Antonio (not as good as Rudy’s awesome play but very similar).
Still good to watch and well done.
Yeah
Why do they have the radio guys instead of the TV guys most of the time?
"The brownies,'' Fernandez said after the game. "The brownies are good for me to make three-points.''
interesting,
the anouncers were awosome IMO. guess you can’t please everyone…
Other than that it’s not that badly edited
this is a joke right?

From the back of Travis Outlaw's Franz card: Travis leads the team in monstrous thunder dunks, wins awards for post game interviews, and often gets extra points for degree of difficulty.
From the back of Greg Oden's Franz card: Nickname: Jaws. Has an insatiable desire to tear rims apart while cruising the open court, and was once interested in using head-gear for his profession.

Amazing
Excellent work. Did that all really happen this year? What a season!
Ducks Go!
Already miss you MB
After watching this video, I wonder...
1- Why isn’t N. Batum rookie of the year?
2- Who said Oden is a bust?
Wow!
What a great video….just a terrific job!
I do have a couple of other comments……I LIKED the music. I mean, where is it written that basketball MUST be accompanied by hip-hop? The music used her is reminiscent of what you hear on the Olympics….which I personally find much more inspiring that hip-hop. But that’s just my personal taste.
The second item is……I find it amazing how after someone does something this good, no, make that this GREAT….we have people here complaining about it. What gives? Those of you that don’t like it feel free to round up footage (and if you need to ask where to find it, you’re not going to be producing a great video like this) and give it a shot yourself. The editing was extremely good, with a variety of cuts and transitions that did not get in the way of the message…and that is a characteristic of a well-edited video.
Kudos to Maxamillion711!

I splain my self more betterer as to why I dissed said vid above
What I like about your post is that it sounds as if I do in fact make a video no one is allowed to criticize it in any negative way. Ha ha, pre victory is mine.
And I very much disagree with you on the editing. Less is often more. Though I agree that Maxamillion711 did do an amazing job on the video. He picked great clips, heavy on the Spanish Connection which I loved, and brought all the editing tricks known to bare. You can still do something great and hear an alternate take on greatness or here honest critizism. Maxi, baby, we know your good, your the best baby, but ease down a few notches.
To reiterate. Great Vid, here’s where my tastes differ, I love the words “Sergio to Rudy….” with screaming to follow. Viva Le Blazers!

is probably the best NBA video editor on YouTube. I always watch his “Finish to Remember” vids to get pumped up. I appreciate how he uses completely awesome, dramatic orchestra music (instead of rap) coupled with the radio/TV broadcasters — much better than just music or just announcers. The only exception to that rule is DMKPDX, who uses good hip-hop/rap music for his mixes and not the overproduced filth that clogs up our airwaves today.
Keep ‘em comin’ Max, I’m sure your mix for the Blazers run through the post season will be even more amazing.

I like your playoff preview/season recap far better than the official NBA playoff preview even thought that is also catchy. If only because it lacks BLAZERS! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3s63sGoP_c
Greg Oden = Robert Parish (HOF, 4x NBA champion, 9x NBA All-Star). The only other rookie with more than 500 points, 400 rebounds, and 65 blocks in under 1400 minutes played. Since 1946.
He Timbo were you at the Pioneer square today at noon?
And Oden, once again, is a rookie, so non-stop fast break basketball is like fast-forwarding a song while he's trying to learn the lyrics.

I just keep thinking that this guy has a hard drive with every single blazer game, and all the radio feeds,
plus interviews ect. just how much time was put into the making of this video? he had to listen to hours of wheels, watch many hours of game tape to get such a verity of plays, and people have the audacity to complain that specific plays weren’t in it? that the editing wasn’t up to their standards? that the file wasn’t the right size? the music wasn’t perfect? a full third too many of the comments in this thread are a perfect example of “pearls to swine”. I found this video and every aspect wonderful and am grateful that someone with this high level of talent would give his time like this. Youtube has been removing tons of videos at an alarming rate, so I’m not surprised to see it hosted elsewhere, and for those that are wondering where it;s at, I hope it’s cause the artist has simply removed it himself. I would find it hard to share with people as arrogant, selfish, and ungrateful as some of us seam to be…

The video was awesome
I teared up not once, but several times. I’ve had a REALLY bad day that could have negative ramifications for years to come, compounded by the fact that I spent 14 hours downloading this to show to my wife (whose day was even worse) only to have the file killed when it was pulled, just before the download finished. If someone could find it in their hearts to repost, it would be much appreciated, and a much needed boost for our family.
That's not fair
I’m gone for a day and a half from Blazers Edge, and not only has the sidebar exploded and it’ll take a year to catch up, the video of the century isn’t available anymore.
I’ll look for it on YouTube, but it looks like it ain’t there.
