This post had better set a Blazers' Edge record for Rec's.
+1!
Of all the things that can be expressed in the printed word – love, hate, fear, joy – true humor is the one that is the most difficult of all. Sarcasm, for example, is an art of delicate subtlety. Yet too many people wield it as a bulldozer – loud, smelly, ugly, and destructive – and think they are being funny.
2nd place is probably good enough
considering what post holds place number 1
"It’s a good ol’ fashioned Rip City beat down!"
Thank you posts suck.

Posts criticizing thank you posts suck.

yes, if they didn't clog up the post drawer and knock more deserving in depth posts away.
a 100 word filler post about why we like someone that has no analysis or depth takes up valuable space.
it’s such an active community that we’re hurting ourselves by Reccing Thank yous!
that said THANK YOU PTB 2008-2009!
OH! IT'S A LOB TO RUDY!! And he Jams it!
From Sergio; the Spanish Armada hooks up again!
Underwhelming
I predicted 62 wins before the start of the season and then adjusted it to 61 wins, after Denver traded for Chauncey Billups. Oh the flaws I could list.
I've been following the blazers since 91'
and this is probably my favorite season ever. A lot of that has to do with the BE community, because i haven’t seen a game all year, so I come here for my blazers fix.
we be crushin’ it.
It's a great LIFE to be a Blazer!!!
Man I’m happy I was born in Oregon.
PLAYOFFS... sounds good, don't it?
From a fan since 1976
Thank you very much for everything, from a heart stopping win against Houston, to whoooping the L@kers, to making the playoffs. You have shown that character people can be talented and win!!!!
Killer instinct. When you have your opponent down, you do not help them up. You step on their throat!!!!!!

Yes we did it. Yes we can (beat the Rockets, Lakers and Mavs to reach the finals in order to sweep the Cavs)
Greg Oden = Robert Parish (HOF, 4x NBA champion, 9x NBA All-Star). The only other rookie with more than 500 points, 400 rebounds, and 65 blocks in under 1400 minutes played. Since 1946.
sweepin' the Cavs
I love it – Elgin

If they get by
the Lakers, presuming they get to round 2, and Portland is going all the way!!! Cleveland will have another heartbreak to cry about.
Let's not get ahead of ourself
We still need to beat Yao and the Rockets.

Are you an astronomer?
"Aneurysm".
When Outlaw wins a game on a last-second shot, it’s called an "annthefaneurysm". QualityPie
Bring on Yao.

Was there a time-stamp update done?
This just jumped back to the top of the fanpost list and is listed as 2 minutes old.
oops!

fanposts have been crazy the last 18 hours.

It's insane
I was playing catchup today, and I’ve finally accepted that I’m just not going to keep up.
take solace in the fact that
6 months ago, 99% of fanposts were quality stuff worth reading. It’s more like 50% these days.
The price of success I suppose

Indeed!
I think there were almost 2500 votes on a poll today. That’s incredible but such a huge number of posters also translates to a dilution of quality overall me thinks.
Brandon Roy just destroyed everything in his path. There's your rational analysis -- Dave
Also: COMCAST SUCKS!
The signal-to-noise ratio is definitely tough recently.
It’s partially just the increased user base, but also a limitation of the SBN platform, it looks like. I don’t think they’re used to this level of activity. Hopefully they’re working on it. One thing that makes it tough, there’s no way to vote down posts or comments without flagging them (which isn’t the goal of course). Like Digg, youtube, etc do.
yeah
the format leaves quite a bit to be desired — heck even something like a standard message board format where the posts are organized by most recent activity would work better. That way, something stays on the “front page” as long as it is getting further discussion on it, and silly stuff will soon roll down.

another idea
anyone can post “fanshots”, but the site moderators (that would be Dave and Ben) have to grant priveledges to enable people to make “fanposts”, which they would of course only do to people who have proven over time their ability to create thought-provoking content that covers new territory.
probably a PITA for the two of them, but it’s a decent idea if it was managemable

2nd youngest playing rotation in the league.....
Memphis is first…..by like a !/2 year or so. I did the math about 3 weeks ago and it figured to be about 24.6 for the blazers, 23.9 for the Grizz.
Still amazing considering we won 30 more games….
who from each team did you include?
