Kobe's Colorful Blazer Playoff Comment
Kobe would love to play the Blazers in the playoffs:

The guy asking the questions is from KCAL, not one of our reporters nor a national guy; I'm guessing Kobe has spoken with him before. The reporter is asking some pointed (but fair) questions.
Body language experts might note his hand practically covering his mouth means something. I know the classic evaluation is that he's dissembling, but my Sherlock sense is that guy is working through some frustration issues.
Kobe missed shots or turned the ball over the last several minutes of the game. I've seen him beat us in similar situations in the past. The fact he was so adamant the ref's did them in is less than flattering. I would be embarrassed to see one of our guy's using that excuse that played a major role in a loss.
The question to me is if he was really begging to play us in the playoffs or just wanting everyone to know our team does not intimidate him. In the same way we basically flatter LA with our chants using their name (is there another team we do that for?), consider them our most despised rival and refuse to even spell their name out, isn't Kobe returning the favor a bit by singling us out with this comment?
Just between us, I think he should beware what he hopes for!

This is awesome...
We are on the verge of becoming the Lakers #1 nemesis in the Western Conference. Now if we could just beat them on the road I think I would die a happy man

Kobe: frustrated and proud
Hey Kobe, on three crucial possessions at the end of the game, you fired up a couple of shots that were four feet off and turned the ball over. Meanwhile, Brandon Roy made your defense look like Kevin Durant’s. How are you feeling?
“grumble grumble refs grumble, Yeah, I’d f’n love to play them again…”
LOL.
Ruining Kobe’s day is reward enough.

Kobe is a warrior.
He’s wrong about the cause of the loss (which was on him), but you have to like the intensity and attitude.

Yes, and you believe him when he say's that. He relishes the challenge and he does not want
anyone to think that they have the upper hand. He could care less about locker room material.

Just remember. K*be was thisclose to being traded to Chicago
What was it, just 18 months ago? The Lakers had lost in the playoffs and Kupchak didn’t make a significant move in the offseason (Bynum was still a young “project” and there was talk of “rebuilding”) so Bryant was making noise about wanting to be dealt to a contender?
The the stupid Pao trade came along and turned L*A’s fortunes back around
K*be is a whiney front-runner—just like Phil Jackson and all L*ker fans. If they don’t get everything “their” they complain like a two year-old and leave the arena early. It’s everyone’s fault but theirs, they can do no wrong, etc
Like I’ve said many times before…it just makes beating them all the much sweeter

Kobe may want to play us
But the LA Times just wrote: “… and the Lakers would rather paddle a canoe through the Bermuda Triangle in a typhoon than play in Portland”.

Oh my. The big, bad Blazers are being mean to the poor, heroic Lakers.
"Aneurysm".
When Outlaw wins a game on a last-second shot, it’s called an "annthefaneurysm". QualityPie

I loved it!
He wants another chance to beat us. Not to mention, it’s the series the NBA would want in the West, I would think.

The broadcaster is John Ireland
one of KCAL9’s commentators, so yes he knows kobe well and thats probably why Kobe was so candid.
although a real journalist with no team ties might have asked… well kobe you didnt get the calls you wanted, but you did airball two 3’s and turn the ball over in the last minute. Didnt that affect the outcome?
Other than death and taxes, only 4 things in this world are indisputable:
Brandon Roy is the BEST player in the NBA in the clutch.
Montana to Rice were the greatest to ever play the game.
The Four Horsemen of Maddux, Smoltz, Glavine and Avery were unstoppable.
No one protects the pipes like Luongo.
