There's a lot of "if"s

in his choices. Can’t you say anything about anybody when you start throwing around ifs?

what a schmuck.

he obviously hasn’t watched any blazers games that oden hasn’t been in foul trouble.
12 pts, 8 boards in 11 mins last night.

lets do a very unscientific extrapolation to see how he would have fared with 33 minutes…

36 pts and 24 boards with 6 blocked shots?? thats crazy talk

Rosen is an idiot

if he changed it to “Portland, but only if Greg Oden becomes the once in a decade force many hoped he would be,” then he’d be dead on. A disappointment? Sure, but only given the sky high expectations. A dud? Only if you are an idiot.

can someone with a fox account go on there and tell him not to make the same mistake 2x.

He called Brandon a “flop” and Oden a “dud” could someone go on there and set him straight linking to that website.

Mr Rosen has a well established history

That is, of making inflammatory comments about players after never seeing them actually play, or seeing them only once or twice in limited time.

He called Brandon a flop after seeing part of ONE game where Brandon didn’t play well.

I think, basically, if you do the least amount of research or thought possible, and make snap judgments, then you will almost invariably be wrong, and wrong in such a way that will really tick off a lot of people. Therefore, you increase your readership by doing almost literally nothing!

That is Rosen’s MO—do the worst work possible, the least amount of actually thinking possible, in order to come up with the most ridiculous things possible, to make a lot of people angry and get readership—all without having to really do any real work at all.

Brandon goes from flop to fringe superstar???

I’ll take it, this guy just made Greg a HOF lock…

that's right

I totally forgot about that “Roy is a flop” comment. Nothing more need be said after that one.

i thought that

until it came out that this guy called roy a flop.

Clearly his lack of belief is a sign of good things to come.

#1 : Greg is not a dud. The guy just has some work to do.
  1. : Is he saying that Przybilla isn’t a “real” center?

Hopefully this is a joke.

Charley Rosen is an old, senile coot, but occasionally his crotchety rants against Don Nelson amuse me.

Beyond that, though, Rosen’s delusional, deranged ramblings gives me the feeling that he’s suffering from dementia. Heck, he’s probably got onset Alzheimer’s disease at this point in his life. That’s not my problem, though.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
