"It's just basketball"

This guy is a complete scumbag, and not just because he plays for the Turdbags. That was dirty and he knows it. I don’t wish anything ill upon anyone, but maybe if he was laid up in a hospital he might be a little bit more sorry.

Such a scumbag Ariza. Ugh, this just pisses me off beyond belief…the look on his ugly face. Ugh…

Take a chill pill.

Ariza is awesome and has been a good guy for his whole career. The Lakers had been giving up easy baskets and he overacted with a hard foul. To me he just seems embarrassed by the whole thing.

Ariza is a real stand up guy

Come on people, get with the program.

The league isn't going to suspend him.

I guess they must just be huge Lakers fans. They probably didn’t even watch the tape. What a huge conspiracy.

Who said he should be suspended?

Clearly not I, but trying to argue that Ariza is a great guy and is just embarrassed by what was an unfortunate accident is pretty lame.

Flagrant foul was an obvious call. And Ariza has always teetered on dangerously out of control.

one game

They should have suspended him one game. That was a reckless play in a blowout game. – Elgin

Yeah,

if Trevor Ariza sends Rudy to the hospital with a stretcher, he shouldn’t be acting all tough and trying to start a fight. Who’s fault is it? His fault…No right to try to do anything less other than hope Rudy does fine like the rest of us and apologize.

The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

Farmar

At least Farmar instantly went to Rudy to see if he was alright. Seemed genuine, I have respect for him.

chill

he clearly did not mean to hurt rudy or flip him on his back like he did. ariza might have been going for the ball, or he might have been trying to foul and prevent an easy layup, but it was not intentional. in the interview, ariza explains that injuries and hard fouls are a part of the game, and this was no different.
he apologized at the beginning of the interview, and if you seriously think he is a scumbag, you must never have played organized basketball. it was a generic basketball foul and injury, don’t waste time pointing fingers and getting all defensive about it.

I don't mind the foul really. Stupid out of control foul

when he was clearly beaten. Stupid angle. Stupid to do when down by >20. OK the fould does not rate suumbag. it rates "not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

His trash talking and preening after the foul….OK what do you call that d.c.?

If this was a "generic" foul...

then why did he leave on a stretcher? Why did he get whacked in the head? Why did Ariza pull his wrist down? He apologized because his PR guy told him to apologize. I question whether YOU have played organized basketball. I don’t need to waste time pointing fingers because it is pretty obvious who is at fault. Just leave L*aker fan…

I've played plenty of organized ball AND I think he's a scumbag

That play was unnecessary and was absolutely intentional. I know hard fouls happen, but swinging your arm over the top like that is a conscious decision.

Get out of here with that BS.

Well, I think we should put this behind us. I am pissed too but what's done is done.

If he does it again then it will be different. He showed some remorse over it. Ariza should know you don’t foul a guy that hard in the position. It’s as bad as undercutting someone.

Do we need to be reminded of what happened to TJ Ford when he got hit in the head.
