A Message to You Rudy!
I'm opening this thread (along with many others I'm sure) as my way of saying thanks, and passing on good thoughts to Rudy Fernandez, Numero Cinqo!
I was hoping everyone could add their favourite Rudy Funfacts, Rudy moments, or just good wishes.
This may be premature, but one of the reasons Rudy is so awesome is his toughness. So when he stayed down like that it scared me.
I'll start the list off with:
1. First Rudy Memory I remember watching Rudy play for the Spanish national team during the Olympic finals. First time I'd seen non-Highlight play by him. At first I was having trouble picking him out cause his hair was way shorter than in the film on youtube. But it was then that I jumped on the Rudy Train! - portland89
2. Noones questioning your desire to play, Rudy
You’ve found a 2nd home here in Portland and we love you!! - Nuggz503
3. I remember when we first drafted him.
I immediately checked youtube for highlights and thought to myself, " we’re actually getting this guy?!". Then when I saw him in the Olympics I got chills. I was thinking that Rudy’s game is unlike any player in the NBA. The way he moves without the ball, the way he positively affects the offense without even touching the ball. Rudy is a rookie and already logging QUALITY minutes. He has been a big part of our success this year, and his rise to NBA consistency should be special to watch. Get well Rudy. - Dario
4. El Mago
You have our thoughts friend. I still remember that Dunk on D. Howard. I didn’t know then what i know now. All the best you Spaniard magic man. - BlindNil
I think it was agaisnt Lithuania in the Olympics. Rudy got what seemed to be a concusion and then after being on the bench for a few minutes he went back in only to catch a alley-oop, throw a couple nice passes and toss up a three. this is all from memory but I was so impressed by it that I told every one I saw for like a month about it. - BlazerManiac77
Get better man. Your teammates and fans have your back…L*kers or no L*kers. - DLieberman
add yours to the list! And Best Wishes for a fast recovery Rudy!!

only cause you saw my post in the earlier thread :)
+1 for the specials. I’ve inherited a few of their original vinyls from my dad. and by inherited i mean stolen from the basement boxes of records my mom doesn’t let him play. (she hates ska)

MVP *** MVP *** MVP
I've never scored more than 38 ..... not even in Little League.
Get well soon Rudy
Which one of these posts am I going to Rec?
There won't be clean officiating in the NBA until David Stern is forcibly removed by the US Congress in 2013 for fixing games.

Reporter: Four assists tonight too, Travis. You're starting to shed that idea that you're just a shooter. You're starting to pass the ball more too...
Travis: (Deadpans) Aw, I just got tired..
ruffin from ruffin leaves ruffin
you gotta have somethin…
Jeesh ... it's not like he died or anything.
But oh yeah, here’s hoping for the best for you Rudy!
Brandon Roy just destroyed everything in his path. There's your rational analysis -- Dave
Also: COMCAST SUCKS!
No but it was still scary as hell
I went cold when I saw him land and not move. And I cringe every time I see that replay from the baseline
Blazers win!
the fanning of himself during the dibacle was the scariest.
You could tell he was fighting to stay concious. Scary scary sight.

Yes it was.... I'm still shivering
And I doubt I’ll feel warm again until I know Rudy’s gonna be OK
Blazers win!
It was bad...
Just got back from the game. It was a really bad incident. I thought there was going to be a huge brawl since it was near the Laker’s bench. What really pissed me off was a group of Laker fans being disrespectful when Rudy is on the floor with a neck brace and stretcher. They were chanting “Let’s go Lakers” while the whole arena is standing quietly.
I hate the Laker’s!
Now I hate Trevor Ariza….what a punk ass!
Reiza is the biggest schnozzle in my book
and I don’t see that changing for quite some time. Even higher on the list than Kobe now.

the love was thick in the garden tonight
chants for rudy got loud and faded when nothing happened.. and I really would not have wanted to be one of those Laker fans in the Garden… my neighbor cried, and we all stood waiting and hoping..
we’re still hoping… Mejorate Pronto!!
