Blazers 111 Lakers 94

Congrats to the Portland Trailblazers. They played alot better then the Lakers did. I did not like seeing what happened to Rudy Fernandez. I honestly believe Trevor was going for the ball but just got careless and I hope all is going to be well for Rudy Fernandez and he will be able to play as soon as possible. Good Luck the rest of the year and hopfully we will give you a much better game the next time.

A: I know this team does, the organization does. Everybody else, I don't worry about that. We worry about our family right here (in the locker room). I know I got their back and I know they're behind me.

thanks for being classy

It was a hard foul, but not dirty. That happens and I agree with you that Ariza was playing the ball.

See you in a few weeks for the 4th and final matchup

How did you guys win that?

but you seem like a decent guy

I am a die hard Laker fan, I love L.A. but I never want to see anyone get hurt. That is not what it’s supposed to be about. We got our butts whipped so no excuses from my end! Fortunately I will be at the Rose Garden for the next matchup and will get the atmosphere.

wonder who gets boo'ed louder at the next game: k*be or ariza?

To answer your question, it is obviously Kobe because you did not spell Ariza, *riza so that’s how I know

well i was tempted to go with something like @riz@, but that just looks kinda dumb

No Question

Ariza is no longer welcome in the Rose Garden. When he returns, he will be booed louder than he can imagine. Blazer fans are a sporting bunch, but we don’t tolerate players who hurt/cheapshot ours.

Portland takes the l*kers more seriously then any other team in the league,

if we only had 4 win a season, as long as they were against the l*kers, everything would be allright. Inversly, if we had your record and lost to the lkrs, then the fanbase would be calling for the coaches job and or trades

Oh, that would never happen...
we’d call for Nate’s job and trades if they lost to the TIMBERWOLVES…

We've seen Nic make that same play successfully 3 or 4 times this season. Ariza caused a big crash trying for it. It's a contact sport, unfortunate.

Brandon interview: foul wasn’t the issue with Ariza, it was him strutting afterwards.

I think if Arizass would have come over to Rudy and seen if he was alright like Farmar

did, nothing would have happened, but his strutting and looking at the crowd caused LMA and Roy to get pissed and say something about it. Plus I think Roy remember all the hard fouls the **kers constantly put on the Blazers and was tired of being pushed around and decided to say something. Roy looked to get really upset once Odom came off the bench to say something to him.

...things go well I might be showing my O face...O...O...O...you know what I'm talking about.

perseption is a lot in this league

Ariza walkin like a trotting horse afterwards is what everyone is upset about. Farmar had the class to check on Rudy First. Props to him. Good game all considered.

by blindnil on Mar 9, 2009 10:15 PM PDT reply actions

He may have been trying for the ball, but a balled up fist and a full swing?

how would he know anyway. Watch the replay slowly – he turns his head. It was careless, and in that situation careless is dangerous and flagrant

the reactions were different

Ariza strutted afterwards, Bynum seemed repentant. The fouls were of a similar nature.

by Cablinasian on Mar 9, 2009 10:29 PM PDT up reply actions

I'd say Ariza's was worse

mostly because looking at the replays, he made contact with his elbow on Rudy’s head before coming anywhere near the ball. He was obviously trying to foul, but it looked pretty clear on the replay that he was going after as much Rudy as he could rather than just preventing the layup.

The other issue that makes it worse, though, is considering the point in the game. As an unwritten rule, you simply do not commit that foul when you’re down 28. I understand trying to send a “no easy buckets” message in a close game, but you have to show some degree of restraint in a blowout. The game was pretty much decided at that point, you don’t risk injuring a guy on a meaningless play.

In close game, I’d say it’s a flagrant 1, 2 shots and the ball, Ariza possibly doesn’t get ejected. As is, I’d say he deserves at least a game behind the bench mandated by the league.

The Lakers were rested, on the first game of a road trip, knew and acknowledged their struggles in Portland

And still got embarrassed. When the game got tough the lakers resorted to contested jump shots while the Blazers attacked the rim. No way we are the 8th seed, but I would love to face the lakers in the playoffs.

very true sabas, and kobe told nate he was gona end that streak in portland

you can bet the lakers will play their hardest next game vs us in april, this game is a preview of what blazer laker games are gona be like next few years.

An 8th seed would be unsettling after this season

But beating LA in 7 and moving on sure would make up for it.

He WAS right

A LEASE means entering into a long term contract to rent that soul. L@ker fans don’t dare do that, because they know they are likely to lose the thing at any moment.

of course they do!

Thanks, but ...

How can you be a L*ker fan when every time somebody (read the Portland Trailblazers) gets out on them by twenty or thirty, they start chipping and Flagrant Two’ing.

I personally hope we get to play L*kers in the WCF and completely dominate them. I want that freaking team to implode!

Hey, but thanks for the good wishes.

Comparison

LA’s worst loss this year compared to Tim Duncan’s biggest deficit in his entire career. I think the S.A. accomplishment is a bigger one.
