Blazers vs Fakers Celebratrion Thread
It's time to celebrate.
The home streak against the l*kers continues.
What was Ariza thinking?
How about Boom Boom in the first quarter? Joel in the game? Travis in the game? And Roy finishing off the l*kers in the 4th quarter.
We are one game away from tying our wins from last season.
Denver lost tonight, and so did New Orleans.
We are now tied with Utah for #1 in the Northwest Division.
Celebrate good times Come On

agreed
A team effort against the Fakers again

I thought our defense on k*be was excellent
He got his points like he always does but he was never in control of the game. Great Job Boom Boom, Roy, Outlaw, and a little Blake

That foul
summed up 25 years of hating the L*ckers for me.
I believe in Greg Oden. To all the haters - get down with the program or stay off the wagon for all time. #52

it does feel good
but it left a very bad taste in my mouth, Not so sure I want to dine on L*aker every night…
Free Sergio... no really, please, take him.

Brandon Roy is incredible
I’m out of superlatives, I’m just glad he’s a Blazer

I have never seen a guy that is so in control and does everything offensively.

Also
For everyone who suggest rudy was demonstrating the “euro melodrama”? Come on, almost anyone on this board gets hit in the head then goes down like that, they would be crying for their mommas. Tired of sterotypes.
on a better note
WE JUST DESTROYED THE L*KERS – AGAIN

Did you see his shoulder?
There was absolutely no melodrama there, the way that looked if Rudy plays again in the regular season I’ll be surprised.

They said on TV he was complaining of chest pain
I collapsed lung is more serious to his health but a shoulder or hip injury would be more serious to his career.
Lets hope/pray for none of the above

Anytime a guy does a 360 horizontal to the court you know it is bad
Anyone that said that should get a two week ban

It feels really good to beat the L*kers...
but to blow them out and dominate them…PRICELESS!

If Lamar Odom
could play on the opposing team every game, LaMarcus would be an Allstar already. He brings out the best LMA.

Batum and Outlaw in the first half?
I’ve never seen them play that well, either of them. Both being so aggressive going TO the basket.

outlaw was amazing last game with nine boards
Q: Do you feel the city of Portland still wants you?
A: I know this team does, the organization does. Everybody else, I don't worry about that. We worry about our family right here (in the locker room). I know I got their back and I know they're behind me.

the billa
is pry"ce"less. The man is a monster. Batum is also the future Kobe and LeBron (to a point of course) stopper. ESPN is already making excuses for Ariza. SHaMELESS!!!!

Things I loved from tonight's game
*Batum attacking the basket with ferocity in the first quarter, either dunking or setting up joel with lovely interior passes.
*Our aggressiveness on the defensive end from the opening tip. We challenged the ballhandlers out top, did a wonderful job rotating when the ball swung to the weak side, and Joel was TREMENDOUS defensively in the post tonight.
Outlaw having it stuck on automatic. Lkers fans in the thread room that I was watching kept saying, “He can’t keep this up, he can’t keep this up…” and eventually you just didn’t hear anything from them anymore.
*The team effort on the defensive boards. In the first half, EVERYBODY was boxing out. Guards weren’t just leaving it up to Joel to take care of business in the paint.
Brandon Roy. I loved everything about his performance tonight. He didn’t turn it into a macho showdown with Kobe. He dissected the Lkers’ defense off the dribble and his decision making on the drive was phenomenal. I loved him getting in Ariza’s grill. I loved his dunk from 12 feet out and staredown of Farmar afterwards. What a fantastic leader.
Things I didn’t like:
*Trevor Ariza. Hey Dave, does “douche nozzle” get me in trouble? Cuz if it does I’m sorry and I’ll never use it again, but no epithet more accurately sums up his committing that foul. It was dirty, stupid, and wholly unnecessary. The funny thing was, I had JUST said to my brother, “You know, I hate pretty much every laker except for Ariza…I don’t really think of him as a laker” and he agreed. Approximately ten minutes later, Mr. DN entered the pantheon of “guys who will be relentlessly booed every time they come to portland for the rest of their careers” along with kobe and rueben patterson. some illustrious company there, trevor. enjoy that.

I've seen Outlaw have better games, Laker fans should know better
The guy is inconsistent, but he can drop 30 on you when he gets his game going. Trout shoots the 3 pointer from the corner and top of the key at a 50% rate, and he can always make that ridiculous pull up jumper.

Did Gasol play in the 4th quarter?
I think he was just as upset as all the Blazer players were.

I don’t blame him
My HDTV is a torrented game that I can watch lag-free :(

Watch you back Ariza. I know the blazers are better than that to get get revenge for Rudy, but I’m not.

Travis Outlaw
played some pretty nice D tonight. Would like to see him get some props in the fanshots for it. Credit where credits due, right?

Travis has taken alot of heat over his D
but lately he seems to be showing more focus and hustle on that end of the floor, and its paying dividends. Keep up the good work Travis.
Rudy, get well soon amigo. I’m sending positive thoughts en su direccion.

Yeah, credit where credit is due
Travis played SOOO well tonight, all over the court, including on the defensive end. Great game all around for him.

I only caught one possible missed defensive rotation.
Tonight he wasn’t a defensive liability, but D’ed up on k*be pretty nicely. He took at least one of his sideways floating jumpers, but it went in. Overall good game.
However, he had exactly 0 rebounds. That may be do to Priz eating up every single rebound available, but still Rice is right when he says that the Trout should be a monster on the offensive glass. In 25 minutes, he needs to grab a few boards.

Not bad considering kobe is one of the best offensive players in the game
How many cheap elbows and forearms did kobe throw at Batum and Outlaw tonight?

ROY for MVP
roy was amazing tonight. not only did he out score kobe, he also had more rebounds and assist than him too…. granted the supporting cast stepped up big, but tonight was just another game that proves roy is one of the best players in the league

was that no one dropped a beer on Lamar Odom’s head after the Rudy fight.

accidentally dumped half a beer on me and my jacket….arghh
