He's a huge homer
But I think he’s better than a lot of color commentators, because a ton of them don’t seem to follow the NBA where Rice at least knows who players are and what is going on. Not just the notes put in front of him an hour before tip off.

The offense is showing good movement, resulting in open shooters.
Big difference in penetration and kicking to shooters instead of passing around the perimeter for a 20-footer. Especially when they have no shotblockers in there.
