Ridiculous

They have essentially the same record, and Billups has two other All-Star level players on his team in ’Melo and Nene. Chauncey has had a great season, but Roy is clearly more valuable to his team.

The "Big 3" is a myth. The Blazers have a "Big 1." Here's hoping Oden can someday make it 2.

Not only that

Brandon’s team never got thumped by the Kings this year.

When I rule the world, everyone will know how to use Excel.

Billups is overrated.

The improved play of Nene has helped the Nuggets more than anything. Chauncey just happened to bring leadership to a team that was completely without it.

but isn't Most Valueable? Players that bring that positivly effect their teams.

Q: Do you feel the city of Portland still wants you?

A: I know this team does, the organization does. Everybody else, I don't worry about that. We worry about our family right here (in the locker room). I know I got their back and I know they're behind me.

He could be up there because

irrespective of his on court performance (which I personally loved as a Piston, but I havnt been watching the Nugs) he was the scalpel used to remove the cancer known as iverson.

insert leadership between isn't & Most

yeah, that seems off.

4 more ppg, 2 more rpg, 1 less assist, much better FG%… nearly the same record… but not as valuable…

HUH?

Give the man his "M"!!!

Billups is valuable to that team

However, a lot of why Denver is back in the fold is due to addition by subtraction. It’s quite obvious that AI was a drag on that team. Chauncy is a smarter, more reliable player. Not as flashy, not necessarily as athletic, but makes better plays when needed and has a much better court vision which dramatically improves his teammates (when compared to AI).

As far as him being an MVP? Hardly. There are a handful of smart PGs you could plug into that system that would be equally as effective. If anything, I think Melo is more valuable to that team than Billups.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
