For Dave and Ben
As a fan since I saw Drexler in my first NBA game I watched in 1987. I've been a lurker here for the last couple of seasons and a contributer for a month or so. I just wanted to thank you both for the great work you do. I could not imagine a better site for a fan of a sports team. If anyone else cares to chime in and show appreciation for all the hard work these guys do, feel free to post below.
Thank you kindly,
Marc

I'll second that!
I check this site daily, sometimes more than once. It offers me an opportunity to feed my Blazer obsession. Without TV access (thanks to Blazers, Comcast, and Dish), and the fact I work nights and can’t even listen to most games, this is how I stay close.
Thanks from Reno
As an out of state fan, Bedge really helps me get thru the week….thanks!

agree.
Thanks for making a site that doesn’t get blocked by the internet filters at my job (because of the no swearing rules).
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.
IS THAT WHY I CAN'T GET INTO BLOGABULL!?!?...
no…the other ones…cuz blog is filtered, but…never thought about the swearing, lol.
I’m dumb though ;)
The Faith don't panic, the faith freaks out burns out farms and torchs small villages in the name of The Faith.
Yes, thanks so much!
I almost made this fanpost myself earlier today before getting sidetracked with other things.

Thanks from Oregon State University!
I love reading and chiming in every once in a while. Keep up the good stuff, if you ever need a photographer let me know, although Ben is doing a great job!
"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life,(of the Blazers), (of KP's madness), of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity." - Albert Einstein

Thank you so much!
Because of you guys, my social life has never been worse. But I couldn’t be happier!
The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

Yeah, without this site, life would be difficult being a big Blazer fan, and Comcast keeping us in denial. Someone awhile back said BE = Internet Crack. It was a good lol because sometimes this site is hard to get away from!
Honestly
you guys bring the heat every single day. I check the Edge approximately ten times a day for a reason.
Dave, your recaps are can’t-miss. Your everyman conversational style, where you can take complicated concepts and put them into layman’s terms with colorful, entertaining metaphors is enviable…and I don’t doubt that it’s an ability that serves you exceptionally well in your day job. (Not that there’s anything complicated about the mystery of the Trinity or anything). You set the tone for this site. The erudite, well-reasoned posts that rule the roost here are a direct reflection of the conversational style you promote, both through your site rules and your own postings. The analysis you provide on a daily basis with regards to our beloved Blazers trumps anything ESPN or NBA.com or SI or any other major media source puts out about us. I’ve been here for years (since the dark days of ‘05-’06) and it’s been an absolute pleasure watching this blog evolve under your care. You have every reason to be incredibly proud of the community you’ve helped to create here.
Ben, since its inception, nothing has so benefited Blazers Edge as much as your addition to the blog. You are the quick-witted lightning to Dave’s sonorous thunder; the passionate partisan to Dave’s even keel. I read your Las Vegas piece (linked to on TrueHoop, I believe?) and thought, “Man, who is this guy?” It knocked my socks off. I consider myself to be a talented writer, but I’d give a year of my life to express myself so beautifully as you did in that series of articles. Your practice reports and media-row reactions have given our entire community unprecedented access to the team we love. With your tweets and the Batphone, you’ve ensured that any significant piece of Blazers-related news that appears on the blogosphere will be posted on BE within approximately ten minutes. Believe me when I say that the panache you have brought to Blazers Edge does not go unnoticed.
There are no two better moderators around. Thanks so much for all the time and the effort you guys put in here. It’s taken my fandom to levels I would have thought impossible five years ago.

Totally agree.
Es de bien nacido ser agradecido.
Sergio + Rudy = 16
Sergio + Bayless = 16
Batum 8+8=16
3 cheers for the two of you!
that’s six cheers all together.
it’s mathematics baby.
Free Sergio... no really, please, take him.
Rec's for Dave and Ben
An admission: After the OKC game, I said some things. Stupid things. Things about Nate not knowing how to coach GO. It was only then I realized that I was in danger of becoming that which I most loathe - an uninformed, knee jerk fan who reacts to wins with wild delusions of championships and losses with trade and firing fodder. I will not be that fan. From this point on I will support the Blazers, the coaches and front office wholeheartedly, offering praise and criticism appropriate to the matter at hand. I will never again be "that guy".

I’m usually a lurker unless I have the chance for a first. Just wanted to say thanks for the great writing and great coverage. You guys are number one! Both of you!

Best sports blog on the internet.
"Aneurysm".
When Outlaw wins a game on a last-second shot, it’s called an "annthefaneurysm". QualityPie
Only blog I read regularly on the internet.
From my point of view, best blog on the internet. Sports or no sports.

Not impressed with either of em
Dave is always trying to convert me and Ben once bit me when I tried to get him off Nitrous Oxcide.
Personal note to Dave: I WILL NEVER MOVE TO IDAHO.
Personal note to Ben: LAUGHING GAS IS A DEAD END STREET.
OH, GREAT
I hate it when the mods on a site create a fresh identity to start an appreciation thread for themselves. It’s even worse when all the other fake IDs they’ve started chime in and recommend the post. I mean, come on, guys.
Really, we all know that Dave thinks Ben is wonderful and Ben thinks Dave is, and they both are as egotistical as I am (well, maybe not quite THAT egotistical), so why pretend? Just say it right out on your own identity. You aren’t fooling anyone.
The worst part of the whole thing is that I went and rec’d the post, and now I can’t unrec it.
When I rule the world, everyone will know how to use Excel.

Ben and Dave do a great job
They have different writing styles and different strengths. It really is a great combination. I come to BE primarily for the friendly banter, but the work Dave and Ben do is a close 2nd on the “best reasons to come to BE” list.

Thanks guys.
Great site, appreciate all the hard work.

Frye: He favors dunking on your head, that's what he favors.

Thanks for everything you do that makes this site so great.
You have attracted a large collection of excellent posters.

Blazers win BDL 2 on 2 tournament!
Skeets: i’ll close it down now … congrats. you bastards
Dave is impressive to me,
for his ability to accurately asses the play and status of the team. Very even kealed and patient. Ben has a pretty backpack, and that piece on Allens’ money was pretty good to.
Q: Do you feel the city of Portland still wants you?
A: I know this team does, the organization does. Everybody else, I don't worry about that. We worry about our family right here (in the locker room). I know I got their back and I know they're behind me.
Should old acquaintance be forgot....
Had you not been born, a lot of us blazer fans would be bored, illinformed, overly pessimistic, and homeless.
Ok, not homeless, and there are still a lot of blazer fans that are ill informed and overly pessimistic, but the ratio is much, much better.
Seriously
I never thought I could watch sports without swearing and being pessimistic, but this site has taught me otherwise. Games are way more fun to watch when you focus on the positive aspects than the negative. Oh, and your editorial work (both of yours) is the most consistently amazing I’ve ever encountered. You manage to celebrate the Blazers without being homers and that is something not easily accomplished. I’m happy to know that everyone here appreciates your work as much as I do. Go Blazers.

Thanks Ben and Dave. You two do a fantastic job!
We really don’t need to go to another site with BE covering everything!!
Great posters. Thank you for taking the time to do things well!!!
