Shaq Attack
First, here's what Van Gundy said, ""I was shocked, seriously, shocked. And very disappointed cause he knows what it’s like. Lets stand up and play like men, and I think our guy did that tonight."
Now, here is O'Neal with some more profane moments retracted:
"He (Howard) came with the same old, stale Patrick Ewing move so I tried to stand there and take the charge. The new rules say if you come through, you fall. But as I fell, I realized that it was a flop and it reminded me of Coach Van Gundy’s whole coaching career. The one thing I despise is a frontrunner. First of all, none of his players like him. When it gets tough, he will become the master of panic like he did before and he will quit like he did before. The one thing I despise is frontrunners. Yeah, he’s got a young team playing good but don’t be a frontrunner. Him and his brother and even the legend on the bench ain’t done what I’ve done in my whole career. So flopping would be the wrong choice of words."

Oh right, that's why I hate Shaq.
Thanks for reminding me. For a guy who wears Superman pajama pants to practice he sure is conceited .
Sports Illustrated asked O’Neal – who sports a Superman tattoo and often wears Superman pajama bottoms to practice – whether Howard’s Superman shtick bothered him. "Doesn’t bother me. I can’t be impressed by something I invented in ’92

Clearly bothered with him losing the Superman image...
God..what an ego. I tell everyone this, but no one will listen. People just see it as fun and won’t take him seriously. The whole Joel Przybilla comment, no one minds. But to me, I see it the same way that you would see it here. An egotistical maniac that is fading and making a last desperate push for attention.
The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

Dang.
Part of me believes Shaqtus, but another part of me says there’s no need to bawl Van Gundy out for simply calling a flop a flop.
Want more aggressiveness? Try less Baylesslessness.
As his team fades into obscurity
(and the lottery), all the big buffoon can do is talk. So he’s been talking and talking the last couple of weeks.
Doesn’t matter, because he’s done. Phoenix is toast this year, and unless they strike lottery gold, he’s unlikely to be in the playoffs next year, either. And no one wants his salary on their books.
Shaq’s last two seasons will be with lottery teams, and then, if his ego drives him on, he might sign for MLE for some team desperate for a little size, or for a team that can’t get any ticket sales and hopes his presence will bring a few in.
Talk, Shaq, talk. It’s all you have left.
When I rule the world, everyone will know how to use Excel.
If anyone deserves to get a pass on a flop, it's Shaq.
People have been flopping against him for years. Tell me you wouldn’t fall down if Dwight Howard hip-checked you like that. Howard is a very large man and Shaq is not Vlade Divac.
