Facebook is useful for simply keeping track of people

Or reconnecting with those who are hard to track down.

I saw Fred Meyer at a Fred Meyer once.

He came in with his posse while I was eating at Eve’s. We made eye contact and he smiled at me. Then one of his homies shoved an NDA and a pre-nup at me and killed the mood.

I even remember where Freddie used to live. I want to say it was a private drive through trees on his property on Dr. Scholls Ferry Road but I’m not sure anymore if that was the road.

Les brought Blazer Alum teams to Central Oregon. Great man for local sports.

He lunched often at the Meadow Lakes Restaurant, the city owned golf-course/sewage treatment green-facility that replaced the Boston Cattle Company Ranch on both banks of the Crooked River. His corner seat surround by vice presidents and managers flown in on company planes for meetings. They entered entourage, but, you’re correcct, he didn’t seem a posse man. In poor health for years, his real picture wasn’t in the ads. He also fit in with the good ole boys at Dad’s for the once-in-a-while breakfast. Not someone you’d perceive as Oregon’s 5th richest hombre.

He built ballfields, outfitted teams, etc. Kinda cool, im bringing Dale Schluter, Darnell Valentine, Nick Jones, that fan friendly and having fun playing against local talent.

Using Chrome right now

On Gamenights, I use a different browser for BE than other sites, since heavy BE threads bog down the browser. BE = Chrome, other sites = Firefox.

I’d been using Chrome long enough that I was surprised, it was the first pop-up I’d seen.

Nope. The program only applies to those getting TV over their antenna.

for the bobcats/lakers game. if you click on another game like indiana bulls then it goes full. it must be non-HD cameras at the bobcats/lakers game or something causing there to be a border.

I am anti grown men giggling like school girls… at least in the context of halftime and pre/post game entertainment.

It’s okay if you’re really Tony Luftman though, or related to him, because he does seem like a nice guy.

I’ve actually thought he was loads better on the radio, when he was just talking. When he’s trying to be funny or doing a catchphrase (“that’s what they do on TV, right?” is how it feels), it just comes across as a college show.

Yeah, Gordon tries on defense

But his slowness makes him not able to guard dudes his size and everyone else is too big for him.

He also isn’t a good ballhandler for a guard, and certainly not for someone his size.

It’s best to stay away from those Tweener types who just can’t guard a position. If he could guard PGs, all bets are off.

But we will see. I think Hinrich is on KP’s list too. Miller and him are a bit expensive, but make too much sense. And Kirk is a year younger than Blake, so no closer window unlike with all those Nash/Kidd ideas.

He is significantly better on defense than Steve Blake… he’s successfully guarded Dwyane Wade.

He is also more athletic and can create his own shot better, as well as being a similar spot up shooter.

He's about 40 million for the next four years.

He’s definitely better than Blake, but I don’t think he’s significantly good enough to make up for his huge contract. His contract definitely doesn’t reflect his play.

Because of age and defense

Hinrich is a better fit than Miller. And Miller isn’t a real strong defender either, and is already purty old n’ slowing down.

Miller is great if you don’t got anyone to post up, since he’s really good at that, but we don’t need another poster-upper. He also can’t shoot outside of mid range. He’s good for an up tempo team, but not really for us.

Hinrich would definitely be an upgrade over Blake, even though I am extremely happy with how Blake has played. Hinrich can hit open 3’s, play MUCH better defense, is quicker and more athletic…

He’s just more spendy, but after this summer I don’t care what people make. If we used our cap space on a player of Hinrich’s ability, I’d be happy with it. See what else is out there, because he’ll still be there after we’re done looking because of his high price and because of Rose. He is ours for the taking.

If KP doesn’t go that way, I’m cool with it. But Hinrich is for sure an upgrade.

His worst coaching is when he has us shoot a low percentage from 3 point land, making it harder to have room for Roy’s drives and allowing the defense to double he and LMA without repurcussions.

After that, it was frustrating when people blamed LMA for shooting them.

my only problem with Sergio

is when he tries too hard. Like when he shot a weird three with 10 seconds left in the first quarter of the Philly game. It gave them a chance to score, when Iggy sunk a three. That was a monster play in the game.

I’ve only seen them say LMA should look to score inside more, even using Brian Hendrickson’s numbers to prove to LMA that he’s shooting outside too much.

LMA taking more of a shot he can make is one thing, over-dribbling and doing nothing with the ball against a zone is another. I can’t imagine the things Sergio does that we don’t like is a coaching creation, since (unlike LMA hitting the jumper and keeping us spaced) there isn’t any benefit to it.

LMA is just so good inside… jumper has to be plan B (a good plan B, and a useful one), which they seem to be making an attempt at making it be (hee hee… "B").

LMA should roll more than pop, which also bugs me. YEAH, he can hit the shot, but he also dunks like a mofo and it’s more effective to roll.

there have been a few games where Sergio gets dribbleitis… but for the most part, I’ve been happier with his play this year.

I still think putting Paul Allen’s money to work properly would be combining Jerryd and Rudy into one player, the ultimate point guard.

actually it was a youtubed clip of Jack Black when he was on celebrity millionaire. The 128,000 buck question was asking where in ACL was.

The options were Neck, Knee, Back, and Bicep or something. Jack used a 50/50 and still couldn’t get it, so he said he’d just have to use his other 50/50.

And is still getting used to the new knee and all that…

Averaged sumthin like 9 and 6 in the D-League… in a guard dominated league, you’d hope for more, but it could be/should be still relatively early in his comeback.

Man, that was a hell of an injury. I hope he makes it, sucks it could be for pure evil in OKC.

He lost a lot of athleticism

He can’t yet make the same sharp turns he could make off that leg. I’m still rooting for him though. The OKC GM might have landed another very nice backup for them on the cheap, who could be very useful since their guards are all on the smallish side and not exactly pass-first.

Actually, Deron has averaged more assists than Paul the past three months. The only reason Paul has more stats was because DWill was injuried earlier this year. Plus, DWill and his crazy tats have pummeled Paul whenever they have played. Now,even Mark Jackson (you know, second all-time in assists behind stockton) thinks DWill is better than paul. He didn’t mention Roy, however.

I don't get it

Deron is awesome, Paul is just a little bit awesomer. The first two years, even with Paul winning ROY, it was still up in the air who would be better.

Even if Paul is for sure better now, Deron is still great. Why disparage other players to pump up Deron? Makes no sense and makes Deron appear worse for it.

Be happy they didn’t end up with Marvin Williams or sumthin. (even though he’s a fine player, just not Paul or Deron)

That's a side effect of reffing

A year of watching Oden calls has really created a victim’s syndrome at the Garden now. If the refs continue to go ticky-tack on Oden in the playoffs (while allowing physical play away from him), I’m actually a little worried about the reaction at the Garden.

could be true

the fact that she’s a girl makes her a lot more distinguishable from everyone else…at least for me…so that’s probably why I end up remembering her mistakes more and thus thinking she’s a worse ref than others.

In reality, I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s just as good statistically as anyone else—it just feels like she’s not hhaha.
