Players for the future

After the signature of Batum and Rudy last summer, we will see who will be the new european players to play in Portland next season.

Maybe Kevin Pritchard is watching the quaterfinals of the Euroleague these days, where it seems that there are very good players:

we will see the news and if KP can find another guard to see happy Nate McMillan

Really?!

Where does this come from? Nate is happy with a euro SG and SF, what makes PG so different?

"I don’t have the first clue who he is talking about, because all I worry about is Jerome." – Jerome James, on comments by coach Nate McMillan about Seattle SuperSonics players being selfish.

Nate was a PG

The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

No

That means a 6’5+ PG who has good decision making skills + good defense.

Which would be okay IF

The Nate clone could score more than 6ppg. I’ll take a defensive specialist, but he still needs to be able to hit the 3 ball and go 10/6 for us.

Even as head coach of the Seattle SuperSonics, Nate McMillan was finicky about point guard play.

That, by the way, is exactly why McMillan preferred Antonio Daniles over Luke Ridnour, although in that case his fickle nature was altogether justified for various reasons.

Need to bring back the glove

to mentor our PG’s. Seems like since Greg put him on the ground our guards haven’t seen enough post action from their coach.

From what I can tell, Gary Payton has one of the most impatient attitudes known to man.

For everyone’s sake, Payton is much better off chilling in the studio instead of coaching at the practice facility.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
