I GOOFed
I had one Phoenix game mis-entered. As a result, I've been approximately 1 win too low on my projections for them for the last week and a half. Fixed today.
Utah misses a chance to bolster their road resume, Phoenix stays alive. A win tonight for Phoenix would be huge. A loss doesn't finish their chances, but it finishes their chance of catching us. It also solidifies the gap between us and Utah and Dallas. For Utah to finish ahead of us, they will have to win in Portland after playing NY the night before.
We also have a chance to really put pressure on N.O. after their home loss to Denver. With their injury problems, they are in danger of dropping back into the 6-8 conversation, rather than 3-6. If we take care of business, we're now almost certainly a top five seed. Their last seven games are brutal.
On the other hand, Denver's win makes it harder for us to win the division. We really need them to drop at least one of their two remaining games this week.
Manu is back, and the Spurs didn't even need Duncan to win in Atlanta. When Duncan is out, Parker totally dominates.
Get this win tonight. The Suns have owned the NW this week -- at home. Now they are on the NW trail. If they are going to win at a NW team to keep themselves alive, let it be at Utah on Saturday.

LOL
Money can’t buy happiness. PA may have tons more money, but I bet he isn’t as happy as I am.

I´m a little confused when I´m watching all those commercials... but now I think I understand how PA has made that much money.
He buys many Mc Donalds one dollar menus and gets 2.500 dollars back for each one. America is awesome!
Sergio + Rudy = 16
Sergio + Bayless = 16
Batum 8+8=16

Go Blazers!
What does a Blazer do? He blazes! Where? Up the trail. Why? Portland dunks the ball! Believe RubiOden will happen.

Greg looks ready.
I mean scary ready to mix it up and get it on with anyone. Tonight is another huge step in his developement. Come the 4th quarter, If he competes with Shaq (and that is a big IF), it will change everything as we come down the stretch.
Is tonight the night we have been waiting for all year? I have a good feeling about the MO’ that is coming our beloved teams way .
I agree Scotty, we may have more dyelitheum crystals than we orginally thought. A 5th seed is possible. But tonight a win is crucial for the team to get on the roll it will take to get us there.

Do you mean...
A win tonight for Phoenix would be huge. A loss doesn’t finish their chances
A win for Portland?

No, I was talking about Phoenix
A win tonight would really, really help them. A loss doesn’t finish them, but a win would be immense.
Their stretch drive is going to consist of cupcakes and home games. Assuming they can win those (they are acting like they can), then their success comes down to four away games, at Portland, Utah, Dallas, and New Orleans. If they can win two of those, they’ve got a chance, especially if they win the ones at Dallas and Utah (since those are the teams they have the best chance to catch, so to dish out a home loss on those teams would be huge).
If they win tonight, that’s one of those two tough away wins they need to give themselves a chance, and they can still hope for a couple more. Lose tonight, and they have to win all their home games, all their road games against weak teams, and 2 of 3 in Utah, N.O., and Dallas to give themselves a decent chance. Pretty hard to do.
A win for Portland would finish their chances of catching us, though. Five games behind with 10 left? Won’t happen, even if they win all of their remaining games.

Defining Moment
This game is an opportunity to be a defining moment for the Blazers.
Do they show up, dominate the Suns, and establish themselves as in the playoffs (even if the magic number is still >0).
Or…do they lose the game, and start looking over their shoulders, getting nervous.
The fat lady won’t sing either way tonight, but defining moments are not always the last game of the season or a game 7.

against it was nice to once again really see the blazers' depth
in that while lamarcus was dominant, rudy also was heroic, sergio got 8 assts and played with the sort of verve we haven’t seen from him for a long time, brandon amassed 26 pts almost unnoticeably, batum had big plays, aldridge and oden emphatically blocked shots — this was a very impressive TEAM.
for which a great deal of credit must go to nate.
