Rockets are pathetic vs Jazz
This is the worst performance by the Rockets I have ever watched. I definitely would rather face the Rockets than face the Jazz in the playoffs.

I really believe that once GO gets healthy, he will eat Yao's lunch regularly.
Jerryd Bayless has two emotions: Kill and Win.

EAT THE HEAD
EAT THE HEAD (tnt commercial reference regarding Yao’s lunch)
How quick can GO be ready, three weeks seems pretty fast, but I like GO in the match up.

Rockets/Jazz is quite a rivalry
They keep meeting in the playoffs, and honestly I hope it happens again because its fun to watch.
This isn’t the best game to judge the rockets by because of this. Also, HOU excels at shutting down wing players, but Utah’s offensive really keeps the ball in the hands of Williams as P&R’s w/ a big. The wings just spot up and/or cut off the ball during all this, so they only score on defensive breakdowns.
"I don’t have the first clue who he is talking about, because all I worry about is Jerome." – Jerome James, on comments by coach Nate McMillan about Seattle SuperSonics players being selfish.

I watched the last half of this game and
while Yao is pretty good on offense, he looked horrid as a defender he couldnt stop anything. I expected him to be a bit better than that.

Artest was jacking up terrible shots at every opportunity
5-22
At a certain point shouldn’t someone take him aside and tell him to stop?

Uh
I wouldn’t be brave enough to tell Ron-Ron to stop doing anything. Would you?

Road games in Utah
can be ugly.
The Rockets got the one they really wanted this week, in San Antonio. If you asked them beforehand if they wanted a split of those two games, they would take it. If you asked them if they wanted which one they wanted the most, it would have been the Spurs.
The Rockets are still very dangerous. This game means nothing more than our loss in Atlanta meant.

Means quite a bit more...
Rockets could end up 2/7 or 3/6 with Utah. They need to at least look like they can put up a fight in Utah because I’m not sure if they can go 4-0 at home against them. (Despite Utah’s 0-12312 road record vs the West.)

by your logic, i wonder what our game against philli meant. all i can say is I will have a very sour taste in my mouth if we lose against the phoenix. thats 2 straight losses at home. My mate is burning brandons 52pts effort. that should inspire me. The thing is though im not the one who needs the inspiration, its the players.
come on my son! go blazers. make the playoffs. you never know what could happen from then…

Houston had a bad day...
which is a very common thing for any team playing in Salt Lake City.
I wouldn’t take anything away from this game. I wrote a fanpost on Houston’s brutal schedule for March a few weeks ago and laid out my argument for why their record would suffer. Instead, they’ve managed to overtake the Spurs for the #2 seed.
Houston is a very good team. I don’t want to play them in the playoffs or we’re toast.

Dare I say I told you so that I want to face the Rockets?
Lakers would work just for the fun of it, and Spurs for the learning effect and their recent inability to close out games. Dallas, Utah and Denver have our number, and Hornets might be fun to watch but in the end we have no way to stop Chris Paul without injury.

I watched the game last nite and I think the Rockets would be our best match up
But playing slow ball and leting Yao jog up and down the court would be fatal,He was gassed last nite.

last night wasn't indicative of who that team really is.
They just wrapped up a hellacious 14 games in 23 days and were running on fumes.
Don’t take the bait!

Disagree.
Quick point guard with good handles that can penetrate, dish, and score? Check—> Aaron Brooks
Fiesty power forward with moderate range and multiple moves who can be a sneaky defender? Check—> Luis Scola
Wingers who play devestating defense and have notoriously shut down our #1 option who also happen to be able to shoot from deep as well as post up? Check—> Battier and Artest
Lanky center with range with great FT%? Check—> Yao
IMO, they’re our worst matchup. They can expose every weakness we have (shut down Roy and Aldridge, get our bigs into foul trouble, kill our guards) and they always destroy us in Houston. This is the #1 team I DON’T want to run into, followed closely by Dallas.
Utah and Denver would come down to whoever has homecourt… we beat them in Portland just as they beat us in their home towns. NO has no bench, and I think we could take them in a 7 game series. The Spurs are always dangerous but they’re old. LA… that would be fun… and honestly I think we’d put up a good fight.

We played reasonably last itme in houston
yes we lost and trailed most if not all the game but we were within striking distance at the end. That’s all it take sot steal a road game in the playoffs. Personally, I’d be happy playing houston in the first round. I did not think that way at the start of the season. Dallas is the only team I want to avoid, as they will only get to the second round if they get us in the first round. The Blazers are capable of stealing a win on the road against any team except for Dallas in the West. We just need to hold down our home court. that has only been a problem when returning after long road trips. There are no long road trips in the playoffs, therefore we should hold home court.

I think the Blazers would be the underdog in every matchup, HCA or not
I’m inclined to play the Lakers, since they are clearly the best team in the West. It’ll give the Blazers a barometer.
