Blake, Przybilla, Barrett, & Haarlow at Oregon Humane Society tonight (Tues) for pet adoption event
This sounds like a fun thing to check out. The Blazers have teamed up with the Humane Society to find homes for dogs, cats and bunnies named after Blazer players.

Wish I could adopt one
I’ve always gotten my pets from the Humane Society, but this is a really cool event.
Please don’t support those “pet” shops in the mall. Both of my parents are veterinarians and had a tremendous amount of horror stories about those places and their sources.
If you can't laugh at yourself, everyone else probably is already.

We went to the pet store by my house
We asked how big a puppy would get and the lady said, “It depends on how much you feed it.”

I heard Jerryd took a bunny. That ain't right, needs to name the most fearsome doberman dog.

You sure?
They look like bad news to me.

Bah!
J-Bay is obviously a run of the mill wild hair that is merely (half) dressed up in a costum to look like one of my adorable bunnies!
Nah, he looks cool. I saw that he’s actually already bonded w/ another bunny, which is nice if you want 2 of them. Bonding can be a pain in the beginning as they need to sort out dominance. The downside is you have two bunnies working together with the mission of property damage (there’s a reason that mine were photographed relaxing on a carpet tile).
Good pets though, and fun to have around the house. Always makes a game of “whats that sound” a little more challenging ;)

probably took it home
for dinner – T-Rexx’s are well known for their love of bunny meat

And here they are with some personality traits
Travis Outlaw “a smart, lively, gentle soul, full of personality”
Joel “…an independent guy and has a strong mind. He should be trained so that he learns who is in charge at home.”
LMA : “… energetic and playful and I would be a good addition to an active, loving home.”
Martell.. a sweet older lady that is still spunky and playful when out and about" Hmm, should have named her Jorga!
Greg “… smart and eager to please, and she is capable of learning whatever you want to teach her”
Rebecca : “house training might be a challenge for his new family.”
Rudy : “very food motivated and seems to be very eager to please.”
Sergio : “…playful and generally easy to train because of his intelligence.”
Steve : “Daily exercise is a must. He is a good boy, very happy and playful.”
Channing : “a distinguished older gentleman. He is very easy going and sweet.”
Michael Ruffin : “an absolutely incredible guy. He has an easygoing personality and appreciates a calm environment. He is full of affection, and loves to headbutt and rub on his friends.”
Mike B. : “very affectionate and loves to talk.”
Nate : ’a gentle boy with a heart of gold."
Raef : “a very handsome man. He is very affectionate and easygoing, though sometimes his feisty side comes through.”
Shavlik : “a sweet boy looking for a loving home”
Jerryd : “He will need time to adjust to his new family.”
Brandon : “extraordinarily patient and even-tempered”
Brandon, LaMarcus, Greg, & Travis are among the dogs that have been at the shelter the longest and are really looking for a home & family.

haha
I think they should have switched Raef and Rudy.
The descriptions are funny, since all the animals still have their original names, too.
Brandon Roy: “Bill is an intelligent dog…”
Anyway, I hope they got a good crowd. I volunteer there with the cats. This is the second time I’ve passed up a chance to volunteer at a Blazer themed event. Duh, me.

and so did Michael Ruffin.
I keep thinking I should get a dog, but none of these fit what I’m looking for (couch potato).
Cool that you are volunteering there. I volunteered quite awhile at Cat Adoption Team ; should probably go back and get my kitten fix there – instead of wanting one :-).
