Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Not everything went wrong this night. At least Greg's block-putback dunk sequence was the number one play.

It's the NBA trying to make amends to us for the officiating

I also love that they didn’t show any of the questionable calls in their recap. Calls so questionable our fans were chanting the refs suck for an entire timeout.

Good try stern

There won't be clean officiating in the NBA until David Stern is forcibly removed by the US Congress in 2013 for fixing games.

That previous post is in no way meant to lessen the play Greg made

He was fantastic tonight and the put back was his best dunk yet

you know

I actually thought the exact same thing. Especially when I saw Rudy’s dunk make the top 3, ahead of a half court alley oop? Ridiculous. And the ironic thing is that Greg’s baseline dunk was his best.

Heh

Yeah I was shocked that Rudy’s steal + dunk beat a half court lob AND a steal + alleyoop dunk. Seriously?

Gotta disagree on Greg’s best dunk. Grabbed a block out of the air and throwing it down is pretty dang awesome.

I love the look

on greg’s face after the dunk…the more we see that face, the more games we are going to win…

I have my P.h.D in unreliable hyperbole.

that is PRICELESS...anyone got a screenshot of that face?

I almost sickens me to say it

but it reminds me a little of Snaq O’Meal… there, I said it and I’m glad we have him

That was a remarkable sequence

those two and the dunk at the end of regulation showed such amazing quickness. The block on Williams stunned me – because of the camera angle, Oden seemed to come out of nowhere for that block. He had a lot of bounce last night. Completely different player than in the first half of the year

Loved his energy

I don’t know how he caught that ball and got it back up so quickly.

I also loved TO’s assist and Greg’s dunk. If Travis could make those kinds of passes consistently…

If you can't laugh at yourself, everyone else probably is already.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
