Five Years of .500 or Much Worse are Officially Over
I know we all want more than just to end this season above .500. The playoffs? Certainly! Winning a first round series? Why not? But can we pause for a moment and celebrate the fact that this team will not finish below .500 for the first time in five seasons?
I know this might sound lame to some, but I think it is a good reminder of where this franchise has come from, and hopefully will not sink back down to for quite a while. There will be time for criticism of certain players, the coach, the GM, the ticket prices, and a lot more nail biting before the playoff spot is clinched. Just think about where we were four years ago and where we are now...
Doesn't that feel good?

Nate should get a lot of credit
we’ve averaging a ten win jump from season to season, provided we finish this season on the current pace. That’s terrific improvement.

I'm with you
I just don’t know if he’s the guy who will get the Blazers over the hump. He has shown the ability to coach a team that improves every year but I think all the credit for that has to go to KP. Now that I think about it, what has Nate really done but destroy the confidences of every point guard who has ever stepped foot in the Rose Garden. I think it’s time to roll the dice and fire him now so that we can get the guy in there NOW who will win us a championship this year.
I’m so used to people complaining about Nate and this team that I just don’t know how to be happy.

8... and 9 and 10.
Seriously, I’m getting tired of the Nate hating on here. Yes, we may disagree with his rotations, and defensive schemes, but the man is PRODUCING with a really young team. Here here to Nate!

Nate?
Brandon Roy: Rookie +10 to 30
Brandon Roy: Barely an All-Star +10 to 40
Brandon Roy: Superstat +10 to 50
Now we can hopefully do the same thing with Oden over the next 2 years for a +5 each time.

It makes me so happy to finally have a team
that we can connect with and feel good about. Not only do we have a group of good guys, we have a team that works well together and is WINNING!

Nate, KP, and Roy are the heros here
We are so lucky to have all three of them and I hope Nate and Roy get locked in to longterm deals this offseason.

I hope roy wants ships more than cash and sees that bigger money
comes from advertising sponsorships when you rack up the rings than from max level contracts. Lebron’s salary from basketball pales compared to the 100 million dollar endorsement deals with nike.

Did you see Outlaw's Mother interview him after the game?
It was pretty funny. Night and day from a few years ago.

No I didn't see it yet as I am just getting to watch the game on my DVR
but I’ll look for it when I get to the end of the game. One things for sure, I don’t think Sheed would have been down for a heart to heart after a game.

Plus, our team doesn't whine to the refs like Utah or SA
How am I supposed to defend a team that cries all the time? It’s getting pretty bad.
Basketball John – SLCdunk
We whine less than most of the contenders, for sure.

Hilarious moment in the SA game
Timmy gets called for a foul, he looks at the ref, wide eyed and in total disbelief with his mouth open. He had just mauled Roy and he was shocked that he got called for the foul.

Nice!!
The thing I do like about the Spurs is that they may complain during the game, but they always give credit to the teams that beat them. Except maybe the Suns…

this is very true. you have to respect their sportsmanship. a true first class club. I especially lovehearing Pop in post game interviews, as he always gives very good reasons as to why they were beat. everyone hates the spurs because they are jealous.

he is saying, “my name is tim duncun in case you were not aware, now, are you still going to call me for that foul?”

So this is why Amare's retinas were detached.
He tried to pull a Timmy at the refs.
"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.
"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."
