The Vanilla Gorilla
Let me start off by saying Billa is the man. He's a critical person on the team, according to urban folklore, he drives his kids to school in a Catapillar truck, eats with black and decker tools and carhart is designing a secret basketball ball shoe for him. But lately my friends and I are noticing the certain glow from him. Could it be that our blue collar work horse goes to the booth? I came to his defense by saying it was "strickly for light therapy" or that he's just sweating and the blood is pumping giving him look a redish hue. What are your thoughts? Could it be Billa is so tough that he can reach up and move the clouds over his house to get that tan?

I'd like to see him box out Chuck Norris and get a put back dunk. . .
He’d then be as legendary as the mighty Hercules

No contest
Norris would get knocked out in the first round

Epic Matchup
After Billa destroyed Norris, he took on Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. Billa walked away with Paul’s Ax and a few steaks to grill

He doesn't need fake tanning
he lives in Portland, Oregon where the sun is always shining! I’m surprised he dooesn’t get burnt.

Joel Pryzbilla really is core the long-term success of this "baby-Blazers" team...
Remember how many times you have read on this blog that what Portland needs is veterans? To me, Joel Pryzbilla IS just what all those hand-wringers were asking for…even though most wanted a vet for the SF position….
At 29 years old, Pryzbilla is the PERFECT compliment to a roster that has a young marqee center in Greg Oden. With Oden, Pryzbilla is an insurance policy, a capable starter caliber center who specializes in Rebounding and Defense with decent enough put second chance put backs. Right now with Oden being out to injury, Joel is busy spreading his toughness all over Blazer games and straight out producing what we need from a center.
Pryzbilla probably has 3-5 solid seasons left on his big 7’1" frame. Currently Brandon Roy is 24 years old, Aldridge is 23 years old, and Greg Oden is 21 years old. When Oden returns healthy and begins playing more and more minutes, hopefully we will see Pryzbilla’s career be stretched out a bit, hopefully to 33 or 34 years old.
In all intents and purposes of ultimately having a tightened rotation, Pryzbilla, Oden and Aldridge will give Portland a GREAT 3-man rotation down in the paint. for the next say 4 seasons. At the time when Pryzbilla is 33 pushing 34, Oden will be 25, Aldridge will be 28 and both in their career Prime’s. Pryzbilla’s toughness, big-brother-esque leadership and post play will be the perfect “Bridge the Gap” for our young tandom of post stars.
There is NO WAY KP lets Pryz go. Besides, Pryz is uber-loved in P-town.
Flat out, I just love to watch Pryzbilla going to work with his hard-hat and lunch-pail in the paint. It has been rubbing off on LMA, and I am sure understudy Oden is taking notes on what toughness on the court looks like. We really are lucky to have this dude.

Pryz is the glue
that is keeping this team together during this season.. he might not be the x factor, but that is only because he is so consistent that you always expect him to play his part on the defense and hustle on the boards. He’s the real veteran on this team, but he is also the reason why a lot of people are down on Steve Blake… they expect more from him in comparison to what Joel is providing to this team, and that is incredible consistency.

Well said...
A Sun’s fan friend of mine made fun of Pryz because the one time he saw him, Shaq was working him pretty well. I gave him a bit of perspective in terms of how Joel is seen as unspectacular but solid, the kind of guy you love to have on your team because you know what you’re going to get from him. Our team needs that kind of consistent production. Of course, I also had to add, “Besides, he’s doing this on a playoff bound team. How’s that revamped D working out for you?”

The revamped D apparently worked better than the new system.
Granted, Amare is injured, but this team is now sub .500 under their new coach.
