Does Anyone Really Miss Jarret

I was wondering how may people still think it was a bad idea to bail on Jarret for Bayless.

Just like if we trade Frye I will be depressed, but if it is a good trade, I won’t complain too long.

I loved Jarrett when he was a Blazer, and thought he brought something to the team that noone else did (outside of our resident superstar, of course), a combination of willingness to drive to the hole with the ability to play tough defense. He wasn’t a perfect player, but I always felt he gave it his best, and that he really cared about his performance.

That being said, I see a lot of the same qualities in Jerryd, and I think he has a higher overall ceiling, so I’d do that trade again and again.

Travis Outlaw is an alien, but in a good way.

Yeah, I really miss his fire and competitiveness when a game is on the line.

He’s a great guy.

But I’m happy with Bayless too. (obviously Jack is better right now…)

The fact is Jack never would’ve belonged in the starting job on Portland.

but maybe he’s finally coming into his own right about now.

Maybe his ankle is finally healed. He’s doing great at the moment. He and Ford are a great tandem at point guard. I don’t like Jack much at the 2, but I think he’s a real asset at point guard.

Blake is probably good enough to keep Jack behind him in the point guard pecking order, but Jack isn’t terrible. – Elgin
