I thought it was interesting that they barely talked about the scrum between the teams
Ball Don't Lie
Just call me Ruffin Tumble- Michael Ruffin.
8:01 minutes. here is a summary
going for the ball
he was going for the ball
He got the ball!!!……… and he went through Rudy.
No mention at all of Rudy being hit in the head.
It is funny how people see what they want to see isn't it
There won't be clean officiating in the NBA until David Stern is forcibly removed by the US Congress in 2013 for fixing games.

they recognized “it’s the result”.
It wasn’t bad. Mike Rice was worse.

He was pretty ridiculous
The way he called it, You’dve thought Ariza had straight up thrown him to the ground.
It was a good call.
Risky, Bad, Unnecessary foul = Flagrant 2.

MVP *** MVP *** MVP
I've never scored more than 38 ..... not even in Little League.
Not too bad
he was indeed going for the ball, but they should have mentioned that it was reckless and he hit Rudy in the head. They were absolutely justified in emphasizing that he went for the ball, but how can you not even mention that he got hit in the head?
Plant that on kobee
and listen to them scream. That’s the test. They would go plantains…

Why did like 8 posts just get deleted?
My post included…
The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

nvm

Just because you swing in the direction of the ball it doesn't mean you are going for the ball
Did he intentionaly foul Rudy?
I don’t care if he almost got the ball, or he got the ball and he got Rudy. If he intentionaly fouled Rudy then he wasn’t going for the ball he was going for Rudy and making it look like he was going for the ball. I would do the same thing if I was trying to intentionally foul someone.
I’m just sick of hearing, “he was going for the ball.” So again if he intentionally fouled Rudy he wasn’t actually going for the ball.
Based on how hard he cocked back, how hard he followed through, that it was in mid air, that he was behind him, and that when he got back down to earth he was looking to talk some you-know-what; I think ariza intentionally fouled Rudy.
Also nobody knows what his intention was for sure except him and I would not expect ariza to tell you the truth, for financial reasons and so he would not be suspended further.
Last but not least. I agree with the call on the floor and I am ok with the NBA not suspending him further. However, knowing that if it was k*be going to the hospital one of our guys would be out for a week makes me wish for equal officiating in matters like this.

You and I see it the same
The angle from which he was coming in for the supposed block, to me knowing something about basketball, there was no way he was simply trying to make a play. It was intentional, intentional, intentional. I’m sure he wasn’t trying to injure him, but he sure was trying to put him on the deck.

Yeah.. A player is gonna come back into the game
AFTER BEING STRETCHERED OUT… Cmon

The announcers....
Were almost saying it was Rudy’s fault for getting hurt because he didn’t jump off 2 feet. That is ridiculous Rudy is a one footed jumper and that is besides the point. Ariza was out of control and swiping out of emotion, without thinking about what could happen. Either way you look at it, there is no need for that kind of recklessness, both teams are trying to win but not at the expense of someones health.
