Sergio after practice on Rudy

Sergio had a lot to say about Rudy and his condition and mood after practice today.

http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2009/03/blazers_rodriguez_on_fernandez.html

This is the best line though

Is his girlfriend in town?
"No. He has seven friends here. They didn't know how to get home last night. But he's OK. He's OK."

Is he trying to imply that he has seven girlfriends? We knew he was a ladies man.

lolol, Rudys a pimp,

Considering many call him a bust and injury prone and never amount to anything. If he plays one more game this regular season, he will have played one more game than any time in bynums career, the one non-playing year excepted. Yet NO ONE in LA complains about Bynum being injury prone, all they ever do is talk about how they can’t wait until he comes back.

I think some of it is that Portland remembers Bowie, and secondly that donkeys always REMIND us of that when they talk trash and it angers us that Oden cant prove them wrong until he is healthy. - GreatOden'sRaven

he's implying that not only do Mormons have a (false) reputation for having multiple wives...

but that they also have multiple girlfriends.

It’s a pretty ignorant comment, quite frankly.

Give the man his "M"!!!

Actually, having spent a lot of time researching theology...

… it’s not a “false” reputation, it’s just an officially false reputation.

Officially, the LDS church doesn’t condone polygamy, however the founder of the LDS church did indeed promote it, (as did the church itself for a while), and he took several wives. That part of the belief was later moderated, and a “fundamentalist” offshoot who still believed in the LDS’s original belief in polygamy formed a second church.

The propensity for polygamy among mormons is so well known, (despite the “official” non-condonement), that the US Congress forced Utah to put anti-polygamy regulations into their State Constitution before they would allow Utah to join the United States.

I’ve been to Utah, and though it isn’t the “norm”, you can quite plainly see ploygamous housholds, and in fact whole polygamous neighborhoods.

It wasn’t a ignorant comment, just cheeky.

You're right.

I retract my statement.

He didn’t say anything about Mormons, only Utah, where there are in fact large factions of polygamists.

My apologies, NOWINE.

meh

the food was crappy and the line was out of control. Pop was completely flat so I had to buy a drink , which, was NOT flat soda and rum. I expected this of course. Since my ticket was free I really have no right to complain but I did enjoy the actually seat so Yea

the food was crappy?

Cured ham, crab cakes, gumbo, brisket (or some beef roast of sorts), pizza, dogs, red ropes, snickers…

what did you eat that was bad? I had most of that and was quite thoroughly pleased.

Also, the popcorn/snickers/hot dog counter has cans of soda… NOT-flat cans.

Love that they had a sleep over at the hospital.

He’s just proven himself to be injury prone and brittle. He’s a complete BUST!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside.
