For everyone who's been giving Brandon crap for his behavior toward the refs...
you were treated to a whining clinic tonight, courtesy of the San Antonio Spurs. I'm so glad TD showed up and gave us the VINTAGE bug eyes. Pop (not the menstral bahu guy, the coach) decided to chip in by arguing a call after his team was down by 30 so you know, the call was a real game changer. Bruce Bown committed at least 3rd degree assault on Brandon and he even had something to say. The one time I really noticed Broy get upset over a missed call and was slow to get back on D, he eventually just jogged down and promptly got a steal. So yeah, Brandon yells whether he gets foulded or not when he drives the lane, and yeah he's been politickin' with the refs a little more lately, but remember: it could be worse. He could be a spur.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...
The Spurs have whined their way to 4 titles. That is too far I know. They are a great team and they play great D, but I can’t stand watching this team play because of all the whining.
But if you can’t beat em, join em. Sometimes the refs just need to be told how to do their job it seems.
There won't be clean officiating in the NBA until David Stern is forcibly removed by the US Congress in 2013 for fixing games.

chill on the Roy whinning..
The reason Brandon yells every time he thinks he is fouled is because that is how you get the calls. Brandon is an allstar who does not get the respect he is due from referees, and his yelling is a way of bringing more attention to his play. Most good players do it, and there always needs to be someone on the team to let the refs know what is actually going on.

thats exactly my problem too
i hate when he flails, and whines, and then jogs back, when the other team is on full sprint down the court.

Spurs whine
A bunch, but they have the titles to get away with it.

All good teams whine
And have for years. I don’t know why people make a big deal about it now.
Confusion breeds success. If they don't know each other, opponents can't have strategy. GENIUS.

Good for Brandon
He is growing into his superstar persona. ALL the major NBA players “politic” the refs. I read an article in oregon live about nearly this exact subject. It was basically saying that the “superstar” guys have the ear of the refs more-so than “normal” players. Make no mistake, Brandon is becoming a superstar and is figuring out how to act like one on the ball court. Keep it up Roy, good job man.

it might be “how it is”
but it is unmitigated class bias that detracts from the quality and spirit of the game to acquiesce to superstars molding or manipulating the refs or the league harboring this sort of sentiment toward names that draw

I often find your spellings much more phonically appeasing.

I started spelling like that on skype and other IM's to mask my spelling deficencies
nobody ever really said anything about it. And when I tried to spell the right way, I was rutinly scrutenized. its kind of a habit now, once in a while it still shows up, cuz I use it elsewhere almost exclusivly. I basickly made my own rules, ones that made sence to me and that I could remember. Hear, I might spell a word the right way about half the time, and get it wrong the rest. each time i’m simply guessing.
I just recently reformatted my computer and now firefox works on the BEdge, so I get the red underline. Must have been something I did to the settings before as to why the z function wouldn’t work. The unfortunate thing is that theres been sevveral times that i’ve been stuck on a word that fire fox has told me was incorrect, and after trying several combanations and not being able to get it, I just gave up. Whats really frustrating is trying to use dictionary dot com and not being able to find the word I’m looking for, or even using an online spell checker and coming up short. But even still, there will be improvement. I wont try my hardest every single time I post, But there should allways be at least a small measure of try hard in there.

I never viewed exactly as a word that needed a phonetic spelling
"It’s a good ol’ fashioned Rip City beat down!"

I can tell you this much,
Brandon better not ever become a spur, or join any other team ever, or I will become very unhappy. At least not until he brings us 8 championships and has won a couple of MVP’s as a Blazer. Then when he’s like 38 if he wants to go to LAC (who will be perennial suck) I won’t mind.

lololol, every player in the NBA whines. C'mon now...
Yeah I wish they didn’t, but they do.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

Brandon loses calls
by yelling. Thats what annoys me. He was doing really well last year when he would just play thru the calls. He got tons of them. I dont know if the yelling has gotten him more calls or less. Someone look it up? Norsk? Cablinasian? you guys always have stats. Either way I think its the cry worlf syndrome. How does the ref really know if he got hit if he yells everytime to the rim. I wouldnt know and I would stop giving Brandon the benefit of the doubt… i think thats happening. Could be wrong tho
It was "mascot night" at the Rose Garden, which apparently translates to a dozen inflatable versions of various NBA mascots being chased around the arena by Portland's "Blaze", which is some breed of rapist dog. -PostingandToasting
