Why Would the Seattle fans Boo portland?
ok so i come off this realgm.com article about how some seattle fans baught tickets for the game next week when the Thunder come to town. And how all the seattle fans will boo the thunder but wow as i read more the article says
"When the Thunder play the Blazers in Portland next week, some angry Seattle fans plan to attend the game to "boo both teams."
Why would seattle fans do this after paul allen voted against the move? what are they pissed off at the blazers for? someoeone help me understand this because if its true then i loose all respect for these seattle fans.

This is simple: because they are not very smart
I imagine a lion’s share of ex-Sonics fans will be cheering the Blazers.

There are only 3 reasons in my opinion
1) They loved the Sonics/Blazers I-5 rivarly so much that it is worth traveling to Portland to still boo the Blazers
2) We have a team and they don’t
3) They hate their lives

well...
What’s the point of having the Portland Trail Blazers without the Seattle fans booing them? It just isn’t the same without the booing Seattlites

Newspaper journalistic integrity FTL
Your first mistake is believing anything written from a newspaper in Oklahoma. Not to say the Oregonian is anything to write home about. But compared to the Oklahoman, its like filet mignon to a Big Mac.
When the Thunder plays at Portland next week, some Seattle fans, miffed that their NBA team moved to Oklahoma City, plan to attend the Feb. 11 game at the Rose Garden.
The vocal Save Our Sonics group said it has secured blocks of tickets so members "can boo both teams" at a discounted price. The group has rented shuttle buses for the 170-mile trip. Save Our Sonics leaders are planning an even bigger trip when the Thunder returns to Portland on April 13.

No real source, only a snippet quote “can boo both teams” that’s probably taken out of context or completely fabricated. The newspaper in Oklahoma is owned by the family of Clay Bennett’s spouse.
The local Seattle paper wrote a quick blog post about it and they did not assume whether the members of Save Our Sonics would boo.
Save Our Sonics, a group that apparently still exists even though the team it tried to save does not, is taking a road trip to Portland to watch the Trail Blazers play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 11.
Shuttle Express is running a fan bus to game and the Blazers are offering a discount on a block of tickets to Save Our Sonics members. The group is planning a bigger trip in April with “some celebrities.” Gary Payton, maybe? Four hours on a bus with GP could be worth the price of admission to the Rose Garden.
I’m not sure if the intent is to establish the Blazers as a surrogate home team for Seattle, or if it’s to boo the Thunder.
Or boo both teams.

Geez, I can’t imagine why the newspaper in Oklahoma wants to antagonize Sonic fans. I mean, Thunder fans are the best and Sonics fans are the worst. That’s why they lost the team, it was because of those terrible and malicious Sonic fans who will boo everything and hate all good things.
Bottom line: Don’t trust the Oklahoman. It is a pure propaganda rag for Clay Bennett.

They didn't make it up
It’s from the Save Our Sonics e-mail. I quote:
“Blocks of tickets have been set aside so our members can sit together and enjoy booing both teams. :-)”
That is pretty unambiguous.

I like how they take it out of context and misquote it.
The last comment about booing both teams seems more tongue and cheek.

i think its just a joke
because they dont have a team so they are coming to our arena to boo the blazers which arent there team and the thunder that used to be their team. i dont take it so seriously.

better question:
why the heck would I care what a seattle fan thinks or does?
Join our bandwagon or stay in washington. they have a crappy NFL team and a absolutely horrendous MLB team that gets forced down our throats every summer. Leave us alone unless you come to cheer seattlites.
The Blazers as a whole are far more like my wife than like me in the sense of their physicality on defense.

Hmm...
I can think of lots of reasons to boo the Blazers tonight.
That was embarrasing. We need a defensive specialist on the coaching staff ASAP.
